EVANESCENCE star AMY LEE is publicly urging her ex-boyfriend and former bandmate BEN MOODY to stop trying to contact her - because she feels any relationship with him would be "poisonous".
The BRING ME TO LIFE singer formed the goth-rock supergroup with guitarist Moody and dated him before he quit the group in the middle of a tour in 2003.
She insists she has not spoken to her ex since, apart from a brief and unexpected meeting at the Grammy Awards in 2004, and has no desire to get in touch. She wishes Moody felt the same.
Lee says, "I don’t hate Ben; I just don’t ever want to speak to him again. He was truly kind of poisonous. Some people just aren’t good for you." The singer tells US men’s magazine Blender that Moody has left her a couple of voicemails but she has no plans to return them: "We need to just live our separate lives.
"Wow, I’m being so bad right now. I’m going to burn for it. I’m going to get a pig heart in the mail from his mother after this interview."

Troubled rocker PETE DOHERTY’s progress in his battle with drug addiction was described as "optimistic-ish" in a court review held earlier today (18OCT06).
While the BABYSHAMBLES frontman "impressed" Judge JANE McIVOR at London’s Thames Magistrates’ Court last month (SEP06), his efforts since then have been "mediocre".
The judge said weekly appointments under the order had not been "as successful as expected" but said "it’s optimistic-ish".
Defence counsel BRUCE CLARK acknowledged it was a "mixed bag" but insisted, "On the whole progress is being made." Doherty pleaded guilty earlier this year (AUG06) to four charges of possessing class A drugs including heroin and cocaine and one charge of cannabis possession. He is due to be sentenced on 4 December (06).
The singer was released on bail on condition he check into London clinic The Priory, keeping to a strict night-time curfew.
The judge ordered Doherty to return for another review on 17 January (07).

Socialite PARIS HILTON has reconciled with former foe LINDSAY LOHAN, just a week after reuniting with ex-best friend NICOLE RICHIE.
THE SIMPLE LIFE reality TV stars stunned the media on 8 October (06) when they started talking after a 21-month feud, and last weekend (13-15OCT06) the hotel heiress decided to make peace with singer/actress Lohan.
Hilton and Lohan fell out in October 2005, when the socialite began dating STAVROS NIARCHOS III, the ex-boyfriend of mutual friend MARY-KATE OLSEN. Lohan released a statement at the time, saying, "Lindsay is very good friends with Mary-Kate, and she is appalled that Paris is dating Stavros." The party girls embarked on a high-profile media battle, which included Lohan accusing Hilton of hacking into her voicemail, telling Elle magazine, "I started getting prank calls from them (Hilton and BRANDON DAVIS) on my voicemail… Obviously, she’s very comfortable making videos," referring to the hotel heiress’ infamous sex tape 1 NIGHT IN PARIS.

Legendary director MARTIN SCORSESE’s THE DEPARTED has climbed a place to overtake THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA as the number one movie at the UK box office.
The Departed, which boasts an all-star cast including JACK NICHOLSON, MATT DAMON, LEONARDO DiCAPRIO, MARK WAHLBERG and ALEC BALDWIN, took £2 million ($3.6 million) last week (ends15OCT06).
The Devil Wears Prada, starring MERYL STREEP and ANNE HATHAWAY, is at number two with takings of £1.9 million ($3.4 million).
In third place is animated movie OPEN SEASON, which made £1.7 million ($3.1 million), followed by the ADAM SANDLER comedy CLICK.

British actress SAMANTHA MORTON refuses to embark on endless publicity tours to increase her Hollywood profile, because she enjoys her relative anonymity.
Despite having been nominated for two Oscars, mother-of-one Morton rarely gets spotted while out and about.
She says, "I’m not a Hollywood star. I don’t get recognised. Bollywood beauty AISHWARYA RAI has played down reports she’s dating her co-star ABHISHEK BACHCHAN, insisting he is simply a "fantastic colleague".

Acclaimed US newscaster CHRISTOPHER GLENN died yesterday (17OCT06), following a battle with liver cancer. He was 68.
Glenn passed away in Norwalk Hospital, Connecticut, just weeks before his induction into the Radio Hall Of Fame in Chicago, Illinois on 4 November (06).
The CBS correspondent famously anchored coverage of the space shuttle Challenger explosion in 1986 where he commented, "This flight, which was to have been such a bright chapter in the history of the manned space flight program, turning in the flash of an instant into a terrible, terrible tragedy." Glenn was also the voice of popular kid’s current affairs programme IN THE NEWS in the 1970s and 1980s.
He is survived by his wife, DIANNE, two daughters and a sister.

British designer ROBERT CARY-WILLIAMS escaped a prison sentence yesterday (17OCT06) following a drink-fuelled attack on his ex-lover, after the mother of his child pleaded mercy on his behalf.
The fashionista was given a suspended sentence and ordered to tackle his alcoholism and domestic abuse after assaulting REBECCA McCUBBIN while she was breastfeeding their three-month-old son last month (OCT06).
London’s Southwark Crown Court heard how one of the 40-year-old’s kicks came close to hitting the tot. Doctors said had it struck him, he would have died.
However, Cary-Williams was spared a jail term after McCubbin pleaded for mercy.
Judge PAUL DODSON told him, "This was a nasty attack committed on a woman, whilst drunk.
"But you have been saved from immediate custody by the views of Miss McCubbin. She believes that for you to address your alcohol addiction could well lead to you never coming to court again."

Rocker NICK CAVE insists he will never allow his music to be used in an advertisement, although he was once tempted by the large amount of money one firm offered him.
The Australian star finds it "offensive" when musicians sell their songs to promote a product and is determined never to follow suit.
He says, "I personally find (it) offensive. IGGY POP’s LUST FOR LIFE was used for a car ad. I used to drive around in my car when I was 19 screaming that song, and it had an anti-establishment purpose. For it now to be appropriated by the advertising industry… I think that’s f**ked.
"I don’t know what situation the people who have written the music are in, if they need the money. I’m not trying to take the moral high ground but I wouldn’t allow my music to be used in that way.
"A sanitary napkin company back in New Zealand wanted to use (my song RED RIGHT HAND), which was tempting, but that’s the closest I’ve come.
"You do get an enormous amount of money waved in front of you, more money than you make anywhere else in the industry, and all you have to do is say yes."

Former SPICE GIRL VICTORIA BECKHAM is expanding her fashion company by launching a website.
The DVB label site, set up by the singer and her soccer star husband DAVID, is currently under construction but should be online to coincide with the publication of Victoria’s style bible THAT EXTRA HALF AN INCH later this month (30OCT06).
A statement on her website reads, "I will make sure you are the first to know how my collections are developing, when exclusive pieces are available and all activity with my other business partners too." LATEST: Country singer SARA EVANS credits her vast stage experience with helping her to perform on a US reality TV show just moments after being told her husband had cheated on her.
Evans filed for divorce from CRAIG SCHELSKE last week (ends15OCT06) and announced her shock departure from DANCING WITH THE STARS.
She learned of Schelske’s alleged infidelity hours before the 11 October show but insisted on performing with her dance partner despite her heartbreak.
She says, "It’s a blur. The good thing is that I’m so used to performing, as you know, that as an entertainer, we just have the ability to just try to flip the switch, turn it on, do the dance and make it through the day." WILCO frontman JEFF TWEEDY was forced to punch a fan who stormed the stage during a Springfield, Missouri gig on Monday (16OCT06) night.
The THEOLOGIANS star was half an hour into the band’s set at the Shrine Mosque venue when a man evaded security, ran up to the rocker and kissed him.
A fearful Tweedy, not knowing what the fan’s intentions were, immediately punched him away.
Concert promoter PAT HAGIN says, "It’s not a venue that does a lot of shows.
They’re nice people but the security was not what we would normally want to see I guess. And I’m not blaming it on them or anything.
"This guy came across the front of the stage, and I think Jeff just kind of shoved/punched, pushed him out of the way.
"If somebody jumps on stage with you, its one thing if they’re off to the side or they look passive, but when they’re actually attempting to make themselves part of the show, it’s pretty startling. This guy (the fan) was an idiot.
"There’s this video of KEITH RICHARDS taking his guitar to somebody getting on stage (in 1981), it wasn’t certainly anything like that. But Tweedy certainly has a right and a need in my mind to feel safe onstage.
"It really wasn’t that big of a deal. He was just trying to establish ownership of the stage. There wasn’t any hard contact or anything like that.
"We got him off the stage. There was no harm done, though. No blood or anything like that." Ex-PANTERA guitarist DARRELL ‘DIMEBAG’ ABBOTT was gunned down while on stage with his band DAMAGEPLAN in December 2004 during a performance in Columbus, Ohio. Gunman NATHAN GALE shot Abbott five times and killed three other people.

Cult rock duo TWO GALLANTS were caught up in an onstage brawl with a police officer midway through performing a concert in Houston, Texas on Friday (13OCT06).
The incident at Walter’s resulted in numerous arrests, including Two Gallants drummer TYSON VOGEL, TRAINWRECK RIDERS rockers ANDREW KERWIN and SEAN KOHLER, who were also on the bill, and some fans. The three musicians spent the night in jail and were released the next day on $1,400 (£780) bail.
Arresting officer GM RODRIGUEZ, arrived at the club to investigate a noise complaint. Police allege Rodriguez was attacked by a mob and was forced to use his Taser gun.
However, Two Gallants singer/guitarist ADAM STEPHENS rubbishes police claims he used a "sexual obscenity and shoved the officer with his shoulder" when confronted by Rodriguez mid-song.
Stephens tells website PitchforkMedia.com, "When I turned around to sing the last verse, this cop was there. (He) had a flashlight in his hand and it was turned on, he was pointing it at me and walking towards me and yelling at us to stop.
"And I questioned him once and he didn’t give me any answer, he just yelled at me to stop again. And I think I questioned him one more time. I wasn’t rude about it. I had no idea what was going on. He didn’t give me any explanation after me asking twice. This all happened in a matter of seconds.
"And at that point, he simultaneously put his arm around my guitar and around my neck and threw me down to the ground.
"As far as I remember Tyson was there pretty much when he grabbed me, because Tyson jumped over his drums. And he threw Tyson down immediately as well, and was on top of both of us.
"There’s no way I shoved him at all. He completely took the first offensive move by throwing us to the ground. Immediately a bunch of our friends rushed the stage and pulled him off of us somehow." Before Vogel was arrested, his bandmate Stephens says he was shot with Rodriguez’s Taser gun, before running out of the club and being picked up by some fans.
Stephens says, "(The cop) saw me and he pointed at me, and said something like, ‘Get down on the ground, you’re going to jail,’ and he Tased me a couple of times in the stomach. It didn’t hurt that bad, I think he had it on a low setting, but anyway, I backed off." The band are now planning to take legal action.

Sitar legend RAVI SHANKAR is recovering in a San Diego, California hospital after being admitted last week (ends15OCT06) suffering from pneumonia.
The 86-year-old Indian musician, who is the father of jazz singer NORAH JONES, is in a stable condition and will be discharged soon, according to his spokesperson.
Shankar’s representative ROBIN PAL says, "He was suffering from pneumonia but now his condition is stable.
"There is nothing to worry (about). We have been getting calls from people across (India) who are worried about his health. With their prayers and best wishes he will come back home in a few days."

The one-year-old boy was flown to London on Tuesday (17.10.06) after the singer and the ‘Revolver’ director were granted temporary custody of him but it has allegedly caused huge rows between the couple.
A source told Britain’s Closer magazine: "Guy was not in favour of adopting and the rows have caused tension between them, but Madonna has refused to back down.
"She is one of six children and she always promised herself she would have a large family like her mother. Being 48, she is only too aware she would struggle to conceive. She’s in terrific physical shape and still has bags of energy to put into bringing up another child." Guy’s own mother, Lady Amber Leighton, was forced to give up her first baby for adoption when she was an unmarried 17-year-old and this personal experience made Guy reluctant to adopt.
The source explained: "Guy’s own personal heartbreak with adoption has left him very sceptical about doing it himself. But nothing could stop Madonna." However, Guy’s father John insists his son - who has never met his sibling who was put for adoption - is happy with the situation.
John said: "Nothing would make me happier than if they adopt. It is the children that keep Guy and Madonna together."

He is quoted as saying: "The guy is so multi-talented and I would welcome the chance to work with him on a movie." Cruise admits he would love to play a heroic character and cast the former England captain Beckham - affectionately called ‘Goldenballs’ by his wife, former Spice Girl Victoria - as the villain.
He added: "He would make a great baddie, playing against type. It would be a sure fire box office hit." Beckham, who played himself in the soccer drama ‘Goal!’, has previously admitted he would relish landing a fictional part in a movie.
He said: "I would love to get into acting. But I only want roles that I think would suit me." It was recently revealed that Cruise was interested in making a movie about Beckham’s meteoric rise to fame.

Peaches - the daughter of Sir Bob Geldof and the late TV presenter Paula Yates - has been signed up by the high street fashion giant to bring her unique style to the company.
Peaches has revealed her range has been inspired by African culture. Her father Bob organised the charity concerts Live Aid and Live 8 to raise money for the deprived region.
She said: "I chose to do this because it’s ethical, fashionable and original." Peaches is following in the footsteps of supermodel Kate Moss who recently signed a lucrative deal with TopShop to design a clothing range for the company.
