Actress BLYTHE DANNER has laughed off reports she’s being lined up to date SIR PAUL McCARTNEY, insisting she’s never even met the veteran rocker.
Danner’s daughter GWYNETH PALTROW and McCartney’s daughter STELLA were rumoured to be matchmaking their widowed parents.
Paltrow’s director dad BRUCE died in 2002 while Stella’s mum LINDA McCARTNEY passed away from breast cancer in 1998. The former BEATLE split from second wife HEATHER MILLS earlier this year (06).
But Danner insists the suggestion is ridiculous.
The MEET THE PARENTS star says, "They (press) are reaching, aren’t they? "Poor guy (McCartney). He’s going through enough hell. Why would he want to get saddled with anyone again? Certainly not an older woman."
