MEAN GIRLS star LINDSAY LOHAN insists she wants to be married by the time she is 30, so she can have a family and home to call her own.
The 20-year-old has had a turbulent year involving hospital visits for asthma, exhaustion and a broken wrist and is in need of some stability.
She tells InStyle magazine, “I want to get married before I’m 30. And have my house.
“And make the kind of record I want. And I’d like to win an Oscar before then.” Although she is known for her hard-partying ways, she insists that she’s really a homebody at heart. She adds, “Owning a house will make me very proud. I need a place to call home, to feel it’s mine.
“I love to cook. My grandmother is Italian. I’m pretty practical. I’m a very domestic person.”

LINDSAY LOHAN’s broken wrist is sparking engagement gossip because her favourite gem will only fit on her ring finger.
The actress/singer was rumoured to be engaged to ex-boyfriend HARRY MORTON after he was spotted buying gifts at a Hollywood jewellery store, but she insisted those stories weren’t true.
And now she’s been hit with another engagement scandal after she was spotted wearing what looked like an engagement ring to GEORGE CLOONEY’s Hollywood ‘roast’ tribute gala on Friday night (13OCT06).
Bandaged Lohan fumbled with the ring as she explained, "It’s just decoration.

AKEELAH AND THE BEE was the big winner at the 2006 Black Movie Awards on Sunday (15OCT06), taking home four gongs.
The film, which follows a young girl’s journey to the National Spelling Bee, was named Outstanding Motion Picture, and won acting awards for lead actress KEKE PALMER and supporting actors LAURENCE FISHBURNE and ANGELA BASSETT.
Other winners include actor PRESLEY CHWENEYAGAE for his role in the Oscar-winning film TSOTSI and director SPIKE LEE for INSIDE MAN.

The 1973 film beat ROSEMARY’S BABY and THE SHINING in the Stuff survey, which appears in the American men’s magazine’s November (06) issue.

Hotel heiress NICKY HILTON and ENTOURAGE star KEVIN CONNOLLY have split after dating for two years.
In August 2004, Hilton married money manager TODD MEISTER, but split from him only months later. She had dated Connolly before the brief marriage, which was later annulled, and by January 2005 the couple were officially back together. Hilton’s representative confirms to American publication Us Weekly, "They’re no longer a couple." A Hilton pal says the 23-year-old "dumped" Connolly on 16 October (06), after she suspected he had been unfaithful. Hilton is currently working to open the Nicky O Hotel on Miami, Florida’s famed Ocean Drive.

LATEST: Actress and talk show host ROSIE O’DONNELL has confirmed she will star in a NIP/TUCK spin-off show.
The A LEAGUE OF THEIR OWN star made a guest appearance on the show as a lottery winner who sleeps with her plastic surgeon. And the character proved to be such a hit with fans, producers approached her about starring in her own show.
In the "Ask Ro" section of her internet blog, she is asked the question, "Is it true ur in talks for a spinoff series starring as DAWN BUDGE?" O’Donnell posted the message, "Talks r over. I said yes." The new series will reportedly be shot in New York City, so O’Donnell can also continue her hosting duties on US chat show THE VIEW.

POLICE ACADEMY star BOBCAT GOLDTHWAITE sparked controversy on the set of his new comedy SLEEPING DOGS LIE when concerned bystanders spotted a bestiality storyline in the film’s script.
The quirky actor, who played ZED in the comedy franchise, was directing the film in a rural California street and invited neighbours to watch proceedings.
This quickly turned into a bad idea when one local animal lover spotted a line about a character performing a sex act on a dog in the script and called in the Humane Society.
Goldthwaite says, "The Humane Society were like, ‘Hey, what’s going on here today?’ We said, ‘Oh, it’s a relationship comedy.’ And the Humane Society woman goes, ‘Really, because I heard a dog gets a blow job in this movie.’ "They were there every day on the set. Obviously it was all a fuss about nothing and we actually got the Humane Society to sign off on the movie - they gave us their blessing, which says, ‘No animals were injured or pleasured in the course of making the movie.’ That was funny."

British singer JAMES BLUNT is set to pay tribute to the work he saw members of Doctors Without Borders/Medecins Sans Frontieres perform while serving in the army - by headlining a fundraiser for the charity.
The YOU’RE BEAUTIFUL singer admits he was always impressed by the tireless efforts of charity workers in Kosovo when he was stationed there while serving as a reconnaissance officer.
And now he’ll perform at a fundraising concert at Hollywood’s House of Blues on 16 November (06).
In addition to the benefit concert at the House of Blues, at each venue on Blunt’s current US tour, a personal, one-on-one after-concert meet and greet with the singer will be auctioned at the show’s merchandise booth, with all proceeds going to Doctors Without Borders/MSF.
Blunt has raised over $70,000 (£39,000) since he started auctioning off his time for the charity organisation earlier this year (06).

LATEST: Attorneys representing country star SARA EVANS have filed an amended complaint in the singer’s divorce documents, accusing her estranged husband of removing cash from their joint bank account on the day she started proceedings against him.
Evans’ legal team contends CRAIG SCHELSKE made an unauthorised $274,000 (£152,200) transfer upon learning of his wife’s intentions.
After the country star’s complaint was filed on Thursday (12OCT06), a Tennessee judge issued a temporary restraining order prohibiting Schelske from threatening Evans, taking their three minor children to Oregon and from viewing pornography in the presence of their children.
A temporary restraining order granted yesterday (16OCT06) further prohibits Schelske from withdrawing money from the couple’s joint bank accounts.

LATEST: The estranged husband of country singer SARA EVANS has hit back at accusations of adultery and inappropriate conduct, and plans to vigorously defend himself.
Evans filed for divorce from CRAIG SCHELSKE last week (ends15OCT06) and announced her shock departure from hit US reality competition DANCING WITH THE STARS.
Schelske tells American publication People, "I cannot explain why Sara is waging a false media campaign, but I intend to defend myself in court and protect my children as best I can." In court papers, Evans claims Schelske had an affair with ALISON CLINTON, her friend and the former nanny to her children.
A source close to Schelske says, "Craig is going to drop a bombshell this week. He will be telling his side of the story." Evans is scheduled to make a statement on Dancing With The Stars tonight (17OCT06) to explain her departure from the show.

ROD STEWART has confirmed he’s considering a reunion of his iconic British rock act THE FACES - if they can come up with enough material for a one-off concert.
The MAGGIE MAY singer admits he has been reluctant to stage a get together with former bandmates KENNEY JONES, IAN McLAGAN and RON WOOD in recent years because, without late bass player RONNIE LANE, the group would not have felt complete.
But, now the singer insists the only thing stopping a reunion is the setlist.
He tells men’s magazine Blender, "I would reform them for the right reasons maybe a big one-off charity event.
"Also we haven’t got enough material. We only used to play live for 45 minutes; people want two hours now." But Stewart is confident a reunion concert would reignite his passions to write his own songs.
He adds, "BONO keeps telling me that I’ve got to start writing songs again, so I suppose that’s the next one up. I haven’t written for a long time, but I’ve started picking up the old acoustic guitar again."

Pop star MICHAEL JACKSON is suing Los Angeles law firm Ayscough & Marar, accusing attorneys of trying to force him into bankruptcy.
In papers filed on 29 August (06), but unseen until now, Jackson accuses his former attorneys of conspiring with other lawyers, who represented him in the past, to put him into involuntary bankruptcy.
According to Fox News, Jackson also claims that BRENT AYSCOUGH - the attorney who unsuccessfully represented him in a lawsuit brought by former business partner MARC SCHAFFEL - threatened to expose confidential information about him to the press, violated rules of professional conduct and committed both negligence and malpractice.
Ayscough sued Jackson in July (06) for $216,000 (£120,000) he claims he is owed in unpaid fees. Jackson is also currently embroiled in a $48 million (£27 million) lawsuit brought by DARIEN DASH, the cousin of hip-hop mogul DAMON DASH. Dash claims he has Jackson’s signature on a document promising to pay him a nine per cent fee for securing financing for a $275 million (£153 million) loan in 2004 held by Fortress Investments.

LATEST: Country star SARA EVANS’ former nanny has gone public to distance herself from claims her alleged affair with the singer’s husband sparked a messy divorce battle.
Evans filed for divorce from her husband of 13 years amid claims he had been unfaithful with the couple’s nanny.
But now married nanny ALISON CLINTON has spoken out on US TV, insisting nothing inappropriate took place between her and Evans’ estranged husband CRAIG SCHELSKE - and an alleged affair did not lead to her quitting her job.
Speaking to news shows Extra and Entertainment Tonight, Clinton, who asked Evans to be Matron of Honour at her wedding, insists she left her job with the couple due to a struggle with anorexia and not because she was having a romance with Schelske.
She categorically denies an affair with Schelske, and reveals she only became aware of the allegations when supportive correspondence she sent to her old friend when she first heard of the divorce went unanswered.
Clinton tells the US news shows in an interview that will air tonight (17OCT06) that she is willing to take a lie detector test to prove she never cheated on her own husband with Schelske.
She says, "I am crushed. I thought Sara was my friend. I have never been anything but loyal to her and her family. I cannot understand this, but now I am forced to clear my name in order to preserve the best possible future for me and my family." In a statement, Schelske has praised the nanny for coming forward to clear her name and responding to his estranged wife’s allegations.
He says, "I deeply appreciate the courageous decision of our friend and former employee Alison Clinton to step forward and tell the truth in the face of the cruel and false allegations leveled (sic) against her by Sara.
"No one should have to go through what Alison is being forced to endure, and she is in my prayers."

ETHAN HAWKE felt so much guilt following the breakdown of his relationship with UMA THURMAN, he lost more than 50 pounds (23 kilograms) in body weight.
The TRAINING DAY star divorced Thurman in 2004 after six years of marriage, and admits the experience took both an emotional and physical toll on him.
He recalls, "I felt terrible - drained, worried and shattered.
"In all, I lost 50 pounds. No one told me how terrible I looked and it’s only when I look back at old photos that I realise how ill I looked - as if I had the problems of the world on my shoulders.
"I was racked with guilt. I felt bad about failing the mother of our children and that’s been very hard to overcome.
"I also felt that our life together was so difficult and complicated, it was too hard to put into words.
"And after witnessing my parents’ divorce, the last thing I wanted was a divorce in my own marriage."

HEATH LEDGER quickly tired of the extensive promotion required for Oscar-winning movie BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN, and was relieved when he no longer had to make appearances.
Ledger, who was nominated for an Academy Award for his performance in the gay cowboy film, had to endure endless homosexual jokes at various awards ceremonies.
He says, "I don’t think I was p**sed off at the jokes as much as the fact that I was there in the first place. It was such an exhausting process. The whole thing.

LATEST: Ex-US President GERALD FORD has been discharged from hospital in California after being admitted last week (12OCT06) for medical tests.
Ford, the oldest living former American leader at 93, left the Eisenhower Medical Center yesterday (16OCT06) but the nature of the tests he underwent are still unclear.
Ford has a history of health troubles and has been hospitalised several times this year (06), and underwent heart surgery in August (06).
His spokesperson PENNY CIRCLE says, "President Ford, Mrs Ford and the Ford family wish to thank everyone for their prayers and good wishes."
