MAINES CAUSES CONTROVERSY AGAIN IN DOCUMENTARY

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 6:21 pm

DIXIE CHICKS star NATALIE MAINES has sparked controversy again after declaring US PRESIDENT GEORGE W BUSH "is a dumb f**k" in a forthcoming documentary.
Maines, who received death threats after stating she was "ashamed the President of the United States is from Texas" at a London gig in 2003, makes the comments on BARBARA KOPPLE and CECELIA PICK’s film SHUT UP AND SING.
In the film, her bandmate MARTIE MAGUIRE admits Maines felt guilty after the group felt the backlash from Bush supporters, especially in the South and Midwest states.
Maguire says, "Natalie still always blames herself. She still feels responsible. I keep telling her, ‘You didn’t do anything.’ If she came to me tomorrow and said, ‘I don’t want to tour,’ I’d give up my career if it would give her peace."
