MARY ORR DIES
Writer and actress MARY ORR died of pneumonia in New York City last month (SEP06). She was 95.
Orr is best known for writing the short story THE WISDOM OF EVE, which was turned into the multiple Oscar-winning 1950 movie ALL ABOUT EVE.
She was born in Brooklyn, New York City and was raised in Ohio before writing a number of short stories. The first, The Wisdom Of Eve, became a classic and is still her best known.
Orr died on 22 September.
