CARLISLE TO RELEASE ALBUM SUNG IN FRENCH
Former THE GO-GO’S star BELINDA CARLISLE is releasing her first album in 10 years - and the whole disc is sung in French.
The American singer lives in France and decided to honour her newfound love for Gallic pop music on new album VOILA!, due for release in February (07).
She says, "After I moved to France, I became familiar with the classic French chansons and a lot of French pop music.
"I realised there was a whole world of artists and singers I was not familiar with. As I discovered all these amazing songs, I came to love this music and wanted to record some of them with a playful, contemporary feel."
