LIOTTA’S SMITH CANCELLED
RAY LIOTTA’s new crime drama SMITH has been cancelled by US TV network CBS after only three episodes.
The GOODFELLAS actor starred alongside SIDEWAYS actress VIRGINIA MADSEN, JONNY LEE MILLER, AMY SMART and SIMON BAKER in the show, which focuses on the lives of a gang of professional criminals.
CBS have confirmed they are pulling Smith from their Tuesday night schedule after only attracting 8.5 million viewers and will fill the slot with re-runs of CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION and CRIMINAL MINDS.

For those of you upset that CBS cancelled Smith, consider filing a complaint.
With enough viewer complaints, CBS may reconsider its cancelling of the marvelous fast-paced Smith with its excellent cast including Ray Liotta, Virginia Madsen, Simon Baker and Amy Smart and the show’s superb writing.
Blame it on CBS’s bad marketing, its only giving the show three episodes of airtime, and CBS’s lack of promoting online viewing of earlier episodes of Smith for those who needed to catch up.
CBS could have given a better re-cap at the beginning of episodes for new viewers just tuning in. It could have re-run the episodes during off-hours, much like Bravo does, to allow viewers to catch up.

Just how dumb are the suits at CBS? Could they be any dumber? A sure fire winner and they kill it off after 3 episodes. This show was never going to have widespread appeal. I’m afraid it was a little too complex and a little too sophisticated for the avarage viewer of American Idol and CSI. But a sleeper and a long term winner for sure. Wonder if the rumor NBC will pick it up in January is true?

This was on at 10.OOp.m. on UK channel 4 t.v. It was stopped
right in the middle of a series and not at the end of the episode. This is disgusting at least get one storyline out of the way.
