Late punk star JOE STRUMMER is helping his friends and former THE CLASH bandmates by giving them advice from beyond the grave, according to his muse.
Former vice queen JANIE JONES - the inspiration behind The Clash song of the same name - claims to be in regular psychic contact with Strummer, who died in 2002.
She says, "When I heard about Joe’s death I cried my eyes out. He was still a young man. His spirit still comes to me.
"I was asked to do a film project and I couldn’t make up my mind. As I sat looking in the mirror, Joe came to me and said, ‘You’re not doing it for them but do it for me.’ "I didn’t know what to wear for the event so Joe told me to put on a Clash sweatshirt he’d given me. He said, ‘It’s on top of your cupboard,’ and he was right.
"MICK JONES told me, ‘I feel he comes to me too.’"

Former THE POLICE guitarist ANDY SUMMERS once took magic mushrooms with late actor JOHN BELUSHI, and ended up rolling around in mud in the middle of a monsoon.
In his autobiography ONE TRAIN LATER, the 1980s hitmaker remembers letting off steam at the end of a world tour by renting a Jeep in Bali with ANIMAL HOUSE star Belushi.
He writes, "We just fell down into the road and rolled about in the newly formed puddles like deranged children."

Singer RYAN ADAMS has shut down his online forum after feeling threatened by a comment posted by a fan. The NEW YORK, NEW YORK rocker insists the move doesn’t constitute a permanent closure and the discussion board will be up-and-running again, as soon as security measures have been tightened. The website’s administrator says, "One event in particular has caused this to come to a head.
"I won’t go into details, but sensitive information was exposed on the board that was a threat to both Ryan and the band. And he felt (understandably so) very exposed because of the visibility of this site.
"So he requested that the board be taken offline while we take some precautions in an attempt to prevent this from happening in the future."

RAZORLIGHT star JOHNNY BORRELL has finally admitted there is no comparison between himself and BOB DYLAN - despite having boasted his band’s first album bettered the legend’s iconic 1962 debut.
Borrell famously declared 2004 release UP ALL NIGHT was a finer work than Dylan’s eponymous first album.
But after being challenged to compare second album, RAZORLIGHT, to Dylan’s sophomore release, THE FREEWHEELIN’ BOB DYLAN, the feisty frontman conceded his work is simply not in the same league.
He tells GQ magazine, "I’ve been dreading that question for the past three years! I would not make any comparisons.
"The Freewheelin’ is a fantastic record and I take it as a compliment that you’re even mentioning my work in the same breath."

NICK RHODES hates all the JAMES BOND theme songs which followed DURAN DURAN’s 1985 track for A VIEW TO A KILL, and insists the band should have been asked to record the song for new 007 movie CASINO ROYALE.
The keyboardist believes the subsequent theme songs have lost their way because the chosen artists haven’t cared enough about the suave super spy character.
He says, "I think they lost their way after we did it. I haven’t heard the new one, but I’ve heard it isn’t great, which is disappointing if it’s true.
"They’ve all been a bit s**t to be honest. I think it’s time we did another one. I know a lot of people would like that as the song and the film are cult classics.
"It was a different kind of song for Bond back then but we made sure it had the classic Bond ingredients, which the new songs don’t seem to have."

Troubled rocker PETE DOHERTY has axed the remaining dates of his current UK tour after failing to fully regain his strength in rehab.
Doherty’s band BABYSHAMBLES made the announcement last night (07OCT06) after it transpired that the singer needed more time to recover from beating his drug addictions.
A spokesman from record label EMI says, "It has become clear that Peter embarked on this arduous and high-profile tour too soon after his discharge.
"Babyshambles made the decision to postpone the remaining five dates of their current UK tour.
"Peter asks that he be given time and space to continue with his excellent effort to recovery.
"The band apologises to fans but hope they will understand."

An onlooker tells the newspaper, "She didn’t really care if anyone saw it.
Paris had her bag open for quite a while as she applied lip gloss.
"There were a few shocked faces around her but she carried on chatting away." Hilton’s publicist ELLIOT MINTZ says, "Things are not always as they appear.
It would be unfair to draw any conclusions based solely on these photos."

British playwright ALAN BENNETT adored writing his 1988 play A QUESTION OF ATTRIBUTION, because it gave him a chance to show the funny side of British monarch THE QUEEN The work, which was screened on TV, featured PRUNELLA SCALES as the royal, and he had a ball writing "wisecracks" for the regal character. He tells London’s Time Out magazine, "Once you cotton onto her attitude I found it enormous fun to write her scenes.
"She’s supposed to have said, ‘Oh it’s not like me, I don’t make wisecracks,’ but she does make wisecracks, she does. "When Pru Scales was being given the CBE and the Queen was putting the ribbon round her neck, she said, ‘I suppose you think you ought to be doing this."’

Actor RUPERT EVERETT has urged readers to be sympathetic when picking up his new autobiography, because the writing process was one of the hardest experiences of his life.
RED CARPETS AND OTHER BANANA SKINS details the actor’s childhood, Hollywood career and intimate aspects of his personal life, but Everett admits the memories were often too painful to put down in words.
He says, "The hardest part was thinking about my love affairs.
"Although they often don’t mean much at the time, when you’re writing in a lonely hotel room you think (pretending to cry) ‘Oh, those were the best times of my life’.

The 36-year-old actress admits she is upset when people criticise her natural body shape. She says, "Being naturally thin is the only body type that is not accepted. "I get hurt when people call me skinny in the same way as an overweight person is hurt by being called fat. Some people are just naturally really big like basketball players and I’m naturally thin.
"At school I was terribly skinny. No boobs, no butt, just a skinny little awkward thing. "Now I work out four days a week with a trainer to build muscle. People think I don’t eat which is crazy. I like cake and treacle."

One of Maloof’s partners in the tower, MICHAEL MORTON, says, "It’s a big deal for us, and it’s a big deal for Playboy. Hef has always been very passionate about this whole deal.
"There were times in the process, when you negotiate anything, you have challenges.
"Hef was always so positive, and he really kept it together. Hopefully, he’ll be very proud of what we’ve put together."

ORLANDO BLOOM’s much-loved character in PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN will reportedly be killed off in the fourth instalment of the Disney series, as producers struggle to "cut costs".
According to British newspaper reports, Bloom’s character WILL TURNER is deemed "not necessary" to the sea-faring saga, although his castmates KEIRA KNIGHTLEY and JOHNNY DEPP are unaffected by the cutbacks.
A Disney insider tells British newspaper The Daily Star Sunday, "Pirates of The Caribbean has proved a huge hit and made a fortune for everyone involved.
"A huge chunk of that success is on the shoulders of Johnny Depp as CAPTAIN JACK SPARROW. Love interest Keira Knightley, who plays ELIZABETH SWANN is a huge hit.
"But producers and directors are now trying to cut costs. Orlando Bloom has suffered as a result.
"The script for the fourth Pirates movie is being worked on and all the finances are in place but it was decided Bloom’s character and a number of minor roles were not necessary to ensure it would be yet another box office smash for Disney."

"And I didn’t sleep with him until he convinced me they were finished. He was adamant they’d stopped having sex and Jamelia had moved out of his house.
"But he totally, deliberately, misled me and I’m devastated about it." A spokesperson for Jamelia’s management says, "Darren did meet this girl in 2004. But he had only just met Jamelia and they had not started a relationship."
