PRIVATE JET OWNER SENTENCED FOR VIDEOTAPING JACKSON

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 5:21 am

The former owner of an American jet hire company has been found guilty of videotaping superstar MICHAEL JACKSON without his knowledge or consent of one of the aircrafts.
XtraJet owner JEFFREY BORER admitted in a Los Angeles court, that he and his co-defendant had recorded "a professional entertainer" with two digital video recorders installed in one of his Gulfstream jets.
Jackson and his lawyer were videoed as they flew from Las Vegas, Nevada to Santa Barbara, California in November 2003, where the BAD singer surrendered to police in his child molestation investigation.
Borer was sentenced yesterday (04OCT06) to six months of home detention after pleading guilty to one count of conspiracy and agreeing a plea deal with prosecutors over other charges.
Borer will remain on probation for three years and had been ordered to pay a $10,000 (£5,500) fine and serve 150 hours of community service.
Borer’s co-defendant ARVIL JETT REEVES’ firm Executive Aviation was responsible for maintaining Xtrajet’s planes and allegedly installed the video equipment in the hope of "selling these recordings to the media for a large sum of money".
Reeves was jailed for eight months in July (06) and ordered to spend a further six months in a halfway house and was fined $1,000 (£555).
