MINNELLI: ‘MY CHILDLESSNESS WAS GOD’S WILL’
LIZA MINNELLI has explained her string of childless marriages as "God’s will".
The Hollywood star was desperate for a brood of kids in her youth, but tragically suffered several miscarriages.
But she works tirelessly with sick children, and is thrilled to lavish her maternal love on them and her godchildren instead.
She says, "I very much wanted kids, but it didn’t happen.
"I now have 18 godchildren and I work with brain-injured kids and ones with cancer.
"There are more children in my life than I ever thought I’d have.
"But no, I don’t see it as a matter of regret, I see it as God’s will."
