McAVOY: ‘I’VE NO OSCAR AMBITIONS’

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 7:00 pm

JAMES McAVOY won’t "lose sleep" if he doesn’t get an Oscar nomination for his latest movie role - as he’s still surprised he gets any work at all.
The Hollywood newcomer has been tipped by critics for his performance in THE LAST KING OF SCOTLAND, but insists there was a time he doubted he’d ever make a movie.
The Scottish actor says, "I’m certainly not going to be losing any sleep if I don’t get nominated for this.
"I liked playing this role and getting the job in the first place and developing the character as a professional. That is an award for me, and that’s more than I could have ever hoped for when I started acting.
"When I went through three years at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama I thought, ‘If I get any work at all I’ll be lucky.’"
