DE BURGH: ‘I WORKED HARD FOR FAME’

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:57 am

Irish singer/songwriter CHRIS DE BURGH has laughed off misperceptions fame came easily to him, insisting he worked very hard to land a recording contract.
As the son of a British diplomat, De Burgh was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and lived in countries such as Zaire, Malta and Nigeria, before settling in Ireland when he was 12.
He says, "A common misperception of me is that I came from a wealthy family and my success in the music business was effortless. Nothing could be further from the truth.
"I was stunned that I wound up in the music business having come from a background extremely alien to the entertainment industry."
