MIRREN: ‘DIANA WAS LIKE HEROIN’
The death of British royal DIANA, PRINCESS OF WALES was like quitting hard drugs cold turkey for actress HELEN MIRREN.
The Brit, who plays QUEEN ELIZABETH II in the highly acclaimed new movie THE QUEEN, admits reliving the death of the beloved royal in the film wasn’t a pleasant experience.
She says, "I think she was this great thing and then she suddenly was gone.
It was like our heroine, our junk. Don’t take our junk; don’t put us on cold turkey, we can’t stand it.
"The terror of losing that addiction was huge. I think it’s still there to some extent."
