CROWE FLIES ACROSS THE WORLD FOR HARRIS STATUE UNVEILING
Hollywood star RUSSELL CROWE has flown 17,000 kilometres (10,000 miles) from Australia to a small village in Ireland to attend the unveiling of a statue of his close friend, actor RICHARD HARRIS.
Oscar winner Crowe met Harris on the set of GLADIATOR and the pair were firm friends until Harris died in 2002.
Crowe promised to attend the unveiling in the village of Killkee, in County Clare and even sang a song in Harris’ honour.
Project director MANUEL DI LUCIA says, "He said he was looking forward very much to the ceremony."
