OPERA STAR WATSON IN EMERGENCY BRAIN TUMOUR OP
British opera sensation RUSSELL WATSON has undergone a five hour emergency operation to remove a brain tumour.
The chart-topping singer was rushed to hospital in London earlier this week (beg25SEP06) to have a three inch (7.6 centimetre) benign growth removed from his head.
Watson had been complaining of headaches while recording a new album in Los Angeles when he fell ill.
The 39-year-old was discharged from St George’s Hospital in the British capital yesterday (28SEP06) and his spokesman reveals, "He’s doing fine." While album sessions have been put on hold, Watson is expected to be fully recovered in time for his UK tour in November (06).
