Dog collar curfew
A British man, convicted for drink driving, cut off his electronic tag and attached it to his dog so he could go out drinking.
Shaun Cliff, 38, from Middlesbrough, was fitted with the tag to ensure he did not break a curfew imposed in June after he was charged with drink driving.
But Cliff removed the tag and attached it to his dog Freddie, who stayed at home while his owner hit the town two nights in a row.
Cliff said: "I’m not bothered about going to prison if what I have done draws attention to the system and how flawed it is.
"I can come and go as I please even with the tag." He was found guilty of breaching his community order - and sentenced to three months with a tag.
