Reports that BRAD PITT will play JEFF BUCKLEY in an upcoming biopic have been rubbished by the singer’s mother MARY GUIBERT.
Guibert is working on upcoming movie MYSTERY WHITE BOY herself, as she fears Hollywood would not do the story of Buckley’s life justice.
And although she denies speculation that Pitt will star in the film, Guibert would love to have the TROY star involved in the making of the movie, which is set to be released in 2008.
Guibert says, "Brad has never actually wanted to play Jeff, he found all those tabloid stories very funny.
"All he wanted to do was help produce a project that would have been close to his heart. Brad is still on a list of people we would love to have work with us."

Pop star ROBBIE WILLIAMS is facing criticism after pulling out of a free concert in Dublin, Ireland despite promising to return after his chaotic concert in June (06).
The ANGELS hitmaker was left red-faced at the summer show when he attempted to make a spectacular entrance suspended from a gondola-like contraption over the stage - only for the mechanics to become stuck, leaving him dangling before he was rescued by technicians.
Williams admitted the show was a fiasco, and subsequently vowed to the 80,000 fans he would play a gig for them for free by the end of 2006 to make up for it.
But he has since told promoters in the Irish capital he will not be fulfilling his promise after all.
Williams recently ditched the entire Asian leg of his tour, scheduled for later this year (06), because he is reportedly exhausted after overdoing his onstage capers.
A spokesman for the star says honouring the dates would simply be "asking too much".

British soccer stars FRANK LAMPARD and JOHN TERRY are starring alongside some of Bollywood’s biggest names in an upcoming movie due for release next year (07).
The Chelsea players will appear in JHOOM BARABAR JHOOM, a film about the life of soccer fan RIKKI who lives in London and goes to watch his Chelsea heroes play every week.
Lampard and Terry will star with well-known Bollywood names including AMITABH BACHCHAN, SHAHRUKH KHAN, AISHWARYA RAI, PREITY ZINTA BOBBY DEOL and LARA DUTTA.
Lead character Rikki is played by India’s most popular actor ABHISHEK BACHCHAN, who happens to love Chelsea too.
Bachchan says, "I’m a big Chelsea fan. I get all the games taped for me in India and watch them when I come home from the film sets.
"One of my favourite players is John Terry and it has been great to see Chelsea live."

Dutch royals PRINCESS MAXIMA and PRINCE WILLEM-ALEXANDER are expecting their third child together.
The couple’s baby is due in April (07), the royal household announced in The Hague earlier today (25SEP06).
Princess Maxima and Prince Willem-Alexander already have two daughters who are second and third in succession to the throne, after their father.
Despite the pregnancy, the pair will go ahead with a planned trip to Australia and New Zealand next month (OCT06).
However, Maxima’s doctor has allegedly advised the 35-year-old princess to slow down a little in the coming weeks.

Chat show queen OPRAH WINFREY is poised to take over the world of radio after launching her own US satellite radio channel this morning (25SEP06).
Winfrey signed a three-year, $55 million (£28 million) deal with XM Satellite Radio Holdings Inc for the new channel, called OPRAH AND FRIENDS, in February (06).
Winfrey and her best friend GAYLE KING host a show, as do popular celebrities including fitness guru BOB GREENE and poet MAYA ANGELOU.
A selection of guests have already been confirmed for the first few weeks of programming, including actresses ANNETTE BENING and JULIA LOUIS-DREYFUS, rocker JON BON JOVI, New York Times columnist TOM FRIEDMAN and DONALD TRUMP.

British actor JUDE LAW is planning to place his film career on hold in order to return to the stage.
The ENEMY AT THE GATES star thinks of himself a theatre actor at heart, despite enjoying huge success in the movie industry.
And he is looking for the right play with which to make his return to the stage.
Law says, "I grew up considering myself a theatre actor. It was what I aspired to be as a kid, where I started out.
"Film came into my life after, through my theatre work, so I’m always looking for the right play and the right time.
"I hope that time might be soon. I wanted to come back and act, but for personal and economic reasons I had to forgo the opportunity. Theatre gives you a different taste in your mouth from film."

A judge has given actor DOM DeLUISE the go-ahead to continue legal action against his former daughter-in-law BRIGITTE DeLUISE after she sued him for $2 million (£1.05 million).
The BLAZING SADDLES star is suing both Brigitte and her lawyer STEVEN ZELIG for emotional and financial distress.
Brigitte sued Dom following her divorce from his son in August 2003, claiming the actor, his wife and their advisors tried to cut her off financially.
Zelig tried to argue that Dom’s legal action was in violation of state law that prevented the silencing of critics by forcing them to pay legal costs, but at a Los Angeles hearing on Friday (22SEP06) Judge JUDITH CHIRLIN disagreed.
Chirlin said, "I find that there were sufficient grounds for the lawsuit to have been filed. There is a likelihood of it prevailing on the merits."

DAVID HASSELHOFF’s teenage daughter reportedly attempted suicide at the actor’s San Fernando Valley home in California last night (24SEP06).
Law enforcement sources tell website TMZ.com that police were called to the BAYWATCH star’s home after Hasselhoff called to report his 14-year-old daughter HAYLEY had "cut herself".
According to the website, the teenager was taken to a local hospital for treatment and the Mental Evaluation Unit of the Los Angeles Police Department is now handling the case.
Hasselhoff and his ex-wife PAMELA BACH have spent much of this year in a bitter divorce and custody fight.
The warring couple settled their messy court spat last month (AUG06) by agreeing to both take money out of a ‘community pot’ to pay for cars, homes and their kids’ tuition.

Aspiring Florida-based DJ DARIN SATTER has been arrested for illegally broadcasting hip-hop on the airwaves of a local country music radio station.
The 34-year-old set up the pirate station so that it interfered with country music station 99.9 WKIS-FM’s signal, reports AllHipHop.com.
After weeks of disruption to the channel, engineers tracked Satter’s signal to a trailer park where they found his trailer with a 30-foot-tall broadcasting antenna outside it.
Detectives arrested Satter and charged him with unauthorised transmission/interference with a licensed public radio station. He is facing up to five years in prison and a $5,000 (£2,630) fine.
Satter’s neighbour says, "I figured he had a two-way radio, you know a hand radio."

British pop star LILY ALLEN has slammed JAMELIA for requesting a specially-made child-friendly version of her debut album for her young daughter.
SUPERSTAR singer Jamelia’s six-year-old girl TEJA is a big fan of Allen’s songs, but her mother was concerned about the adult references on Allen’s ALRIGHT, STILL album.
So Jamelia made her record label Parlophone, who also represent Allen, create a unique one-off children’s version of the album, which recently topped the charts in the UK - much to Allen’s irritation.
Allen tells MTV, "Maybe she should pay for that to get done herself. It’s not coming out of my expenses! "I think the more you shelter your children from that kind of stuff the more they’re curious about it.
"It’s the same with drugs, alcohol, cigarettes, the more you say, ‘No,’ the more they think, ‘Maybe I should try some.’ I think, just be honest with them from the start."

Internationally acclaimed Hungarian bassist ALADAR PEGE has died. He was 67.
The musician passed away in a Budapest hospital on Saturday (23SEP06) after "patiently enduring brief suffering", according to the MTI news agency.
The nature of Pege’s illness has not been specified.
The Hungarian Ministry Of Education And Culture said in a statement: "Hungary’s cultural society is once again in mourning. Aladar Pege has left us." Pege began playing bass at the age of 15 and formed his jazz ensemble in 1963.
He rapidly went on to gain international recognition, being named Festival Virtuoso at a jazz event in Prague in the former Czechoslovakia the following year (64), and Europe’s Best Soloist at the 1970 Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland.

Camp rockers the SCISSOR SISTERS are convinced there is an industry conspiracy to prevent their music from being heard in America.
The eccentric band are enjoying huge success in the UK, where both their single I DON’T FEEL LIKE DANCIN’ and album TA-DAH are at number one in the charts.
And the five-piece, three of whom are gay, are convinced they could enjoy the same success in America if the "powers that be" would give them a chance.
Frontman JAKE SHEARS says, "American music fans are just as musically open-minded as their British counterparts. But the powers that be in the US may not be as open-minded. Which, to a degree, will hold us back in the US.
"Tons of Americans would love our music, but they don’t know we exist. People have lots of preconceived notions about us. But they get over them by hearing us or seeing us live." And Shears is convinced that fans only need to hear I Don’t Feel Like Dancin’ once to be hooked.
He says, "People just need to be exposed to this song - and our music in general (and) they’ll get it. People may look at us and think, ‘What a bunch of weirdos.’ But give them time and they’ll see that we’re pretty special."

Veteran blues guitarist ETTA BAKER died in Fairfax, Virginia on Saturday (23SEP06). She was 93.
Baker, who has suffered from heart problems in the past, passed away while visiting a daughter who had suffered a stroke.
No official cause of death has been given, but her health had gradually been deteriorating over the last few years.
She recorded with artists including TAJ MAHAL and in 1991 won a Folk Heritage Fellowship from the National Endowment For The Arts, and was known for her rhythmic finger-picking on the guitar and was still performing in recent months.
In November (06), blues rocker KENNY WAYNE SHEPHERD’s new album, which features Baker’s playing, is released.
Baker raised nine children. Her daughter DARLENE DAVIS says, "She was a great mother and a tower of strength for the family. We always looked up to her."

50 CENT has ended his feud with SEAN ‘DIDDY’ COMBS after the rap mogul apologised to him.
The IN DA CLUB star, real name CURTIS JACKSON, fell out with Combs following a bungled business deal over rapper MASE’s move from Combs’ Bad Boy record label to Jackson’s G-Unit label.
Combs verbally attacked Jackson on his mixtape HIP-HOP IS DEAD: G-UNIT RADIO PART 22, while Combs responded with a line in one of his new songs saying, "I’m richer than you bitch." But the two rappers are friends again after Combs apologised to 50 Cent for his behaviour.
50 Cent tells MTV, "We were making a deal and then communications dropped after I had invested my time and energy into creating a project. So that was clearly a disrespect - until he called and made it clear.
"He called right as I released my music and we actually had our conversations that made things OK.
"It’s all over with now, we actually communicate with each other following that."

A concert by DIPSET rapper JIM JONES ended in tragedy last night (24SEP06) when one person died and three were injured in a shootout shortly after the Virginia gig ended.
Witnesses saw multiple shots being fired during the incident, which took place around 2am local time at the Miami Restaurant And Lounge in Virginia Beach.
Police, who are investigating the motive behind the shootout, placed the club on lockdown and one male victim was rushed to hospital in an ambulance. No arrests have yet been made.
Virginia Beach Police spokeswoman MARGIE LONG tells AllHipHop.com, "The shooting occurred when the club was clearing out. We are still conducting interviews, because there were numerous shooters.
"One victim died and the other victims suffered serious injuries. One victim was flown out by helicopter to a local trauma centre." In July (06), two people were arrested and four received treatment for minor injuries when an Allentown, Pennsylvania concert by Dipset member JUELZ SANTANA turned violent.

Daniel Craig - who debuts as the 007 agent in new Bond film ‘Casino Royale’ - may never utter the immortal lines "Vodka martini - shaken, not stirred" as film bosses have signed a deal with lager giants Heineken, according to Britain’s Daily Star newspaper.
The 37-year-old actor has already confessed he doesn’t even like 007’s tipple, and mocked the famous line.
He said: "I don’t think anybody makes a Martini stirred any more." Craig has proved unpopular with Bond fans, many of whom fear he will not live up to the suave, all-action character.
Meanwhile, a new survey by sci-fi magazine SFX revealed that Sir Sean Connery is still the most popular 007.
The 75-year-old actor beat Pierce Brosnan, 53, into second place while 78-year-old Roger Moore was voted third.
SFX editor Dave Bradley said: "Connery is still the ultimate 007. New Bond Daniel Craig has very tough acts to follow." The 3,000 voters also named 1964 film ‘Goldfinger’ - starring Sir Sean - as their favourite Bond movie.
‘Casino Royale’ will be released in November.

The talk-show giant unveiled ‘Oprah and Friends’ on XM Satellite Radio channel today (25.09.06).
The 24-hour station will play the highlights of her TV show as well as special segments hosted by regular contributors to her chat show including best friend Gayle King, fitness expert Bob Greene and poet Maya Angelou.
Other shows will focus on finance, style, relationships and spiritual wisdom.
Meanwhile, a teacher has refused to stop his campaign to get Oprah Winfrey into the White House - despite the threat of legal action.
Lawyers for the talk-show host have ordered Patrick Crowe to stop selling his book - "Oprah for President: Run Oprah Run" - and to stop using a website containing her name and a toll-free number whose last five digits spell out ‘Oprah’.
They claim the publications cause "damage and irreparable injury" to her production company, Harpo.
The bemused Kansas City businessman - who is behind a long-running campaign to get the media mogul into the Oval Office - said: "I’m genuinely puzzled. If Oprah asked you to run for president, would that be a compliment or would you threaten her with legal action?"

One of Bobby’s relatives says the 14 year marriage eventually collapsed earlier this month after the relationship "just spiralled out of control".
The source - a relative of Bobby’s - revealed to America’s People magazine: "They fought like cats and dogs. They would fight about what to eat for dinner, about who wasn’t cleaning out the dishwasher. Stupid things.
"They were always yelling." The source added: "I am not going to pretend that Bobby was a perfect husband - he’s not, but it’s not like he just ran around with anyone. The marriage was broken." Bobby recently revealed he was "saddened" by his pending divorce from Whitney.
The singer filed for a legal separation on September 8.
Talking about the break-up for the first time, Bobby, 39, explained: "I’m really saddened by the whole situation." Whitney and Bobby tied the knot in the grounds of her five-acre, $11 million mansion in New Jersey on July 18 1992.
Divorce proceedings are expected to get underway next month.
