9/11 FORCED NICHOLSON INTO COMEDIES

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:57 am

The terrorist attacks of 9/11 left movie star JACK NICHOLSON so scarred he couldn’t bring himself to play a villain on the big screen.
The actor, responsible for some of cinema’s most dastardly characters, told his agent he’d only consider comedies as he fought to deal with the atrocities.
Now, back as one of the most sadistic film bad guys ever in THE DEPARTED, Nicholson admits he wanted film fans to laugh after the 9/11 tragedy.
He explains, "My reaction to 9/11 was, ‘This is just a catastrophe so I’m just going to do comedy for a while.
"I’d done three in a row and thought, ‘Jeez, I really would like to play a bad guy.’ "The guy I play here, he’s bad. Nothing is sacred, not the church, not children, nothing."
