Pop star ROBBIE WILLIAMS is reportedly being treated for depression at top London clinic The Priory after cancelling the Asian leg of his world tour earlier this month (SEP06).
The ANGELS star, who has battled depression in the past, is struggling in the charts with new single RUDEBOX and is facing legal action from ex-manager NIGEL MARTIN-SMITH over a song Williams wrote about him on his new album.
Williams told a BBC documentary this month (SEP06), "I could get up in front of 35,000 or 40,000 people and go, ‘Look at me, I’m ace’. Then I’d get in the tour coach, go back to my bedroom and pull the duvet over my eyes." A source says, "He has suffered from depression before, but feels things are getting much worse and the tour was too much."

Actress TORI SPELLNG and husband DEAN McDERMOTT hired Hollywood disc jockey DJ SHARK to make a soundtrack for their honeymoon.
The former BEVERLY HILLS 90210 star made the request just before eloping with McDermott in May (06), as she wanted special music to mark every moment of their romantic escape.
DJ Shark says, "They had a pair of those portable iPod speakers and I programmed music to listen to during dinner, for a walk, on the beach, for cocktails, everything, though I did tell them I thought the cocktail dinner music would be good for a candlelit bath, too." Spelling’s choice of music included DEF LEPPARD while McDermott requested a selection of folk and blues tracks.

Actress SIGOURNEY WEAVER insists she is getting more beautiful with age, because people are more attractive with wrinkles.
The actress - who turns 57 next month - has no interest in preserving her looks and is convinced she looks more interesting now than she did in her youth.
Weaver says, "I think people look blanker when they’re young. They’re more interesting when they’re older. Look at KEITH RICHARDS - he’s a mass of lines, but he’s gorgeous because he is who he is."

LATEST: Troubled British TV star CRAIG CHARLES has been cautioned by police for possession of drugs after a newspaper caught him smoking crack in the back of a car.
In June (06) a tabloid published pictures of the former RED DWARF star taking the drug during a journey from London to Manchester, England.
He was subsequently suspended from British soap opera CORONATION STREET, but is expected to return to the show.

Osbourne, who is writing his autobiography, dreams of one day running his own multimedia company like British TV star SIMON COWELL. But the 21-year-old son of veteran rocker OZZY OSBOURNE rejected his mother’s offer of help when he realised he would have to work with pop star Kelly.
Osbourne says, "I’d like to run a TV production company and record label all in one. Like Simon Cowell, but not as mean. A few years ago Mum asked me if I would consider running her management company. But I don’t think I could manage Kelly."

Reality TV star JACK OSBOURNE’s mother SHARON OSBOURNE made him edit his upcoming autobiography - because he criticised his sisters KELLY and AIMEE in it.
Osbourne, whose constant battles with pop star Kelly were shown in reality TV show THE OSBOURNES, wrote several passages about how annoying he found his older sisters - but the Osbourne matriarch demanded the offending parts be removed from the draft.
He says, "Mum and Dad read the first draft and they were glad it was honest.
There were a few things I wrote about my sisters that Mum made me take out. I had a bit of a rant about how much they sucked sometimes.
"I doubt Kelly will read it. My other sister Aimee will read it to see what I wrote about her but won’t tell me. I saw her last week at our house in Malibu.
She was having a romantic weekend with a guy and I turned up with eight of my friends shouting, ‘Cool! Beach party, woo-hoo!’ She wasn’t happy."

British TV presenter RICHARD HAMMOND has taken his first unaided steps in hospital after crashing a jet car at 300 miles (483 kilometres) per hour on Wednesday (20SEP06).
The TOP GEAR host suffered a "significant" brain injury during the accident but has spoken and walked for the first time.
Hammond’s wife MINDY says, "He’s spoken and smiled. It’s early days and what has happened hasn’t really sunk in for him. But he’s starting to look like Richard again. He’s tough as hell and on his way back. The whole family is overwhelmed by everyone’s support. There have been so many flowers, cards and emails from around the world. To know so many people love him is astounding." Hammond has been moved out of intensive care and into a high-dependency ward.

THE WHO rocker PETE TOWNSHEND credits band ROGER DALTREY with saving his career when he was being investigated on child pornography charges three years ago (JAN03).
The veteran musician was so shocked by the investigation, he refused to speak out about his innocence - so Daltrey spoke out on his behalf.
And Townshend insists he couldn’t have got through such a difficult time without Daltrey’s support and faith.
He says, "I suppose it’s true to say that it could have had a much worse effect had Roger not been so profoundly and powerfully behind me. My lawyers and I decided that I shouldn’t speak.
"So Roger spoke for me, and he was such a powerful voice. I remember BILL NIGHY saying to me, ‘F***ing hell, everyone could use a friend like that.’ "Because the fact is that Roger didn’t know what was going to happen."

ERIC CLAPTON’s ex-wife LORI DEL SANTO is writing a book about the loss of their son CONOR.
Four-year-old son Conor tragically fell to his death from the 53rd floor of a New York City skyscraper in 1990.
The couple were so traumatised by the loss of their child, they separated not long afterwards.
And now Del Santo is determined to write a book about the events following Conor’s death, after discovering a diary she kept at the time.
Del Santo says, "The autobiography will be about what my life has really been like. It involved love and passion and my own version of what really happened that day. When the tragedy happened, I wrote 200 pages that I locked away in a safety deposit box, alongside some video footage of Conor, which I recently showed during an ABC interview with journalist DAPHNE BARAK.
"It has been interesting to see how I was feeling at the time - it’s a sign that I’m ready to tell the story." And Del Santo refuses to worry about what Clapton might think of her decision.
She adds, "I don’t care if he is happy with it or not, because he will tell his story and I will tell mine."

COLDPLAY frontman CHRIS MARTIN is set to join hip-hop star JAY-Z on stage in London next week (beg25SEP06).
The British rocker collaborated with Jay-Z on his new album KINGDOM COME and will now perform with the acclaimed rapper at Jay-Z’s London concert.

Simpson and her sister ASHLEE have recently been attacked by religious groups for blatantly using their beauty and their bodies to promote their careers.
The PUBLIC AFFAIR star reveals her first attempts at a gospel career were derailed because of her sexuality. She tells Allure magazine, "I was always criticised for my looks in the Christian world. They said I was too sexy to sing Christian music. "Judgemental is the absolute worst thing about Christianity, I believe." Simpson claims her breasts were even bigger when she was a teen adding, "But I was always so shy about them because I felt they disabled me from achieving what I wanted to do.
"They would never let me sing solos in church, because they said I made the men in the congregation lust!"
