Tuxedo thief
US police launched a hunt for a tuxedo-wearing robber this week.
The search was sparked after a man, wearing a purple shirt and tuxedo, robbed a store in Brentwood, New Hampshire on Monday (18.09.06).
When the crook realised he had been spotted by officers, he jumped into a Cadillac and led the officers on a 100mph chase.
Schools and shops were closed in the area, as police searched for the dressed-up thief in nearby woodlands.
The man was captured hours later - after he had changed.
A police spokesman said: "They guy had changed into shorts, he was just walking down the street, drinking ice tea."
