But he admits he would have had a problem if Jennifer had to kiss his other male co-star BEN AFFLECK, because women the world over adore him.
When asked if he was bothered by the kiss, Smith says, "Not at all. If she’d been kissing Ben Affleck I’d have been a little nervous because with him, there’s a chance she’d think, ‘I could trade up.’ "Her making out with O’Halloran? Safe as a kitten." O’Halloran unabashedly admits he was thrilled to find out he had to kiss Jennifer, as well as ROSARIO DAWSON.

The MY BEST FRIEND’S WEDDING star is keen to venture away from acting and was thrilled when the busty wife of former pop star PETER ANDRE offered him control of her upcoming life story.
He says, "I’d like to do it - and I think I’d be very good at it." Jordan, real name KATIE PRICE, adds of the plot: "It’s been all over the place - I’ve been sexually abused by a man in a bush, I almost died when I was born and I got involved with a dodgy guy who was a photographer.

Veteran director BRIAN DE PALMA has hit back at critics who claim his movies feature too much violence.
THE BLACK DAHLIA film-maker insists audiences have wrongly come to expect extreme violence from his films ever since 1983 AL PACINO hit SCARFACE, in which one character has his head split open with a chainsaw.
But De Palma is adamant the scene was vital to Scarface’s "shock factor", and was in no way gratuitous.
He says, "I know where this comes from. It’s because I’m the guy who directed Scarface. That image of me isn’t accurate.
"I like to use violence in a symphonic way. I don’t use too many images of brutality, but the ones I do use have to be strong - to jolt the audience. You have to be quiet before you get loud.
"Sure, there’s violence at the heart of this (The Black Dahlia) story, but that’s because it’s a notorious murder case, surrounded in mystery."

CLIVE OWEN is the latest star to defend the casting of DANIEL CRAIG as JAMES BOND, even though he originally hoped to land the role.
The SIN CITY actor was tipped for the coveted part of the suave superspy before Craig was announced as PIERCE BROSNAN’s successor last year (05).
But Owen is thrilled that a "proper actor" has finally been cast as 007, and insists new movie CASINO ROYALE will silence Craig’s critics.
He says, "I think when Craig first took the part he got a pretty rough ride, which to a certain extent is inevitable because there are so many different people who have so many different ideas about something like that. You are never going to please everybody.
"The thing that is really exciting is that he is a proper actor. He is not shallow or posing, they have cast a really serious actor and I think that when the film comes out everyone will see what a great choice he was."

THE LORD OF THE RINGS author JRR TOLKIEN is to have an uncompleted book published posthumously, thanks to his creative son.
CHRISTOPHER TOLKIEN has spent 30 years finishing fantasy tale THE CHILDREN OF HURIN, which his father began in 1918.
Extracts from the story have already been published but never as a completed work.
Christopher says of next year’s (07) planned release, "It has seemed to me for a long time that there was a good case for presenting my father’s long version of the legend of The Children Of Hurin as an independent work, between its own covers." Tolkien died in 1973, aged 81. Director PETER JACKSON turned The Lord Of The Rings trilogy of books into acclaimed movies, with final installment THE RETURN OF THE KING dominating the 2004 Academy Awards.

A new book detailing the life of TOM HANKS sensationally accuses the Hollywood star of abusing his late ex-wife.
Author DAVID GARDNER claims exclusive access to hidden court papers, in which first spouse SAMANTHA LEWES - real name SUSAN DILLINGHAM - allegedly accuses him of harassment, verbal abuse and trying to wreck her career.
According to the papers, Lewes said, "My husband has repeatedly verbally abused and humiliated me during the past 90 days in my home.
"This caused me to suffer great emotional distress." THE TOM HANKS ENIGMA reveals the bitter three-year divorce battle saw Hanks retaliate by claiming Lewes hoped to "squeeze an unfair settlement out of me".
The pair divorced in 1987 but were thought to have reconciled before Lewes’ death from bone cancer in 2002.

ADAM ANT twice swore at MICHAEL JACKSON over the phone, because he was convinced one of his friends was pretending to be the megastar.
It was only when Jackson’s record producer QUINCY JONES called Ant - real name STUART GODDARD - that he realised his embarrassing error.
Despite the misunderstanding, Goddard was still invited to Jackson’s Los Angeles home in 1983.
He says, "We spoke on the phone a bit. The first time he called me I thought it was one of my bandmates taking the p**s. I told him to f**k off twice.
"It was only when Quincy Jones rang me up later that I realised it really was Michael! "He eventually invited me to his place near LA for the day. He was just a very charming and gracious host, but very shy.
"He showed me around his animals - there was no monkey at the time - and we watched the movie WHITE HEAT in his private cinema. That was before it went all crazy for him…"

Adopted hip-hop star DARRYL ‘DMC’ McDANIELS is to be honoured for his foster work at a special ceremony in Washington DC tomorrow (20SEP06).
The gala, hosted by the Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute, will recognise the charity McDaniels co-founded earlier this year (FEB06), which aids neglected and abandoned children.
The rapper set up the Felix Organisation with casting director SHEILA JAFFE, after learning of his own adoption as a baby just six years ago (00) while writing his autobiography.
He tells AllHipHop.com, "Finding out I was adopted, going though all of the emotions and then meeting my biological family changed my life.
"I have a new reality and a new purpose.
"I was fortunate enough to be raised by parents who opened their hearts and home to me. But in reality, there are so many kids out there that don’t have that. I want to help as many children as I can to become strong, independent, and successful adults."

The rapper, real name JAMES TODD SMITH, was highly sought after by a number of networks after he made an impressive guest appearance on the hit US TV series HOUSE last autumn (05).
The CONTROL MYSELF singer was busy promoting his new album at the time, but the number of offers and a reported seven figure contract convinced him to return to TV.
He’s confirmed he’ll work with ANTHONY ZUIKER on cop show THE MAN, which is loosely based on his own life.
He’ll play an undercover Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) officer who spends nights chasing criminals and days taking care of his three adopted kids, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

U2 frontman BONO agreed to do a television interview and concert in the Bosnian capital Sarajevo in 1997 to help the city’s war ravaged people, despite knowing it would put him and his bandmates in danger.
The ONE singer made the decision after an emotional plea from US filmmaker BILL CARTER, who felt U2’s visit would create good publicity and for the city which was, at that time, under siege from Serbian forces.
Bono, in an extract from the band’s self named book, says, "Right on the edge of Europe there was a symbol of tolerance, where three ethnic groups - Croats, Serbs and Bosnians - lived together in peace.
"And this tolerance was being challenged by an appalling siege by Serbian forces.
"So I agreed in an emotional moment to do a gig there. And after I’ve agreed on Sarajevo Television, I then have to explain to the band why putting our lives at risk is going to help the people of Sarajevo." Bono’s decision was not met with approval by all his band members, particularly drummer LARRY MULLEN JR, who felt the plan was immoral.
U2’s manager, PAUL McGUINNESS, says, "Larry was pretty much against it. He thought we were exploiting people’s misery for entertainment.
"Bono definitely felt that we were shining a light on something important."

Icelandic indie stars THE SUGARCUBES will reunite in November (06) to mark the 20th anniversary of the release of their seminal debut single BIRTHDAY.
Singer BJORK will rejoin former bandmates THOR ELDON, BRAGI OLAFESSON, EINAR BENEDIKTSSON, MAGGA ORNOLFSDOTTIR and SIGGI BALDURSSON on stage for the first time in 14 years when they play a one-off show in Reykjavik on 17 November (06).
A statement on Bjork’s website reads, "All profit from the concert goes back into Smekkleysa SM, who continue to work on a non-profit basis for the future betterment of Icelandic music and artists." The Sugarcubes became underground favourites in both the UK and US with their 1988 debut album LIFE’S TOO GOOD and 1992 single HIT, which preempted the group’s split.
Bjork launched her solo career in 1993 with the critically acclaimed DEBUT LP and is considered one of the most groundbreaking female composers working today. She is currently working on new material with hip-hop producer TIMBALAND.

R&B star USHER’s debut stage performance in hit Broadway musical CHICAGO has been such a success, his contract is to be extended by two weeks.
The singer, who kicked off his run as sleazy lawyer BILLY FLYNN last month (AUG06), was originally booked for just six weeks.
But the YEAH star’s box-office boosting prowess has persuaded Broadway, New York City, theatre bosses to keep him on until 14 October (06).
The day after Usher’s first performance in the sexy show, $200,000 (£111,000) worth of tickets were sold - five times more than the amount the 10-year-old show normally takes.
And last week (ends17SEP06), the box office raked in a staggering $728,907 (£390,000), packing out New York City’s Ambassador Theatre. The musical usually sells approximately $40,000 (£22,000) worth of tickets per day.

‘The Secret World of Johnny Depp’, penned by celebrity writer Nigel Goodall, suggests the heartthrob actor enjoyed dressing as a woman so much while filming transvestite drama ‘Ed Wood’ that he continued to wear female undergarments off camera.
‘Ed Wood’ director Tim Burton and the rest of the cast are said to have been left baffled by Depp’s lingerie obsession.
The book says: "Depp developed a weird habit where he would grab the little hairs over his nipples and just try to twist them around, absentmindedly, while he was pacing around in women’s underwear." In the book, Goodall also claims the heartthrob actor, who has two children with his long-term partner Vanessa Paradis, once fell for a woman because of her sweater.
The book quotes Depp as saying: "I love angora sweaters. Oh man, they’re unbelievable. They really feel good. This girl I dated when I was a teenager, she had an angora sweater. When we broke up, I was upset, but not about her. It was the sweater."
