ROLLING STONES star RONNIE WOOD is battling global warming by creating his own forest.
Environmentalists and fans can purchase a tree in the Ronnie Wood Wood in Mozambique, south-eastern Africa, for $32 (£17.50). The price includes a certificate designed by the guitarist, who is also an established artist.
A spokesman for the CarbonNeutral Company, who are backing the project, says, "The trees soak up carbon dioxide, so they are helping protect our climate."
