SIR BOB GELDOF has been branded a hypocrite by angry environmentalists after breaking a preservation order.
Geldof, renowned for his outspoken campaigning, had a 40 feet- (12.1 metre-) high tree at his home in Kent, England, axed while renovating his estate.
A concerned neighbour wrote to the local council complaining, but the Live 8 organiser insists he had the tree cut down because it was dangerous.
Neighbour ANDREW OSBOURNE says, "Bob gives the impression of being an environmental campaigner, but then cuts down a large tree."
