Scooter error

Posted in: Bizzare Stories — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 6:36 pm

An American company is recalling all of its self-balancing scooters - as a software error is causing the wheels to unexpectedly reverse.
Segway Inc. has issued a warning to the 23,500 scooter owners to stop using them immediately.
So far there have been six reports of the mechanical fault resulting in head and wrist injuries.
It is the second time the $5,500 balancing scooters have been recalled for causing riders to fall off.
The first 6,000, sold in 2003, had to be returned due to a problem that caused riders to tip over when the battery ran out.
Segway Chief Executive Jim Norrod said: "Any injury is too much to us." The scooters travel at a maximum of 12.5mph.
