GALLAGHER’S DODGY TRANSFER DEAL

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 9:36 am

OASIS rocker NOEL GALLAGHER almost bankrupted himself when he tried to sign an Italian soccer legend to his beloved Manchester City team.
The DON’T LOOK BACK IN ANGER guitarist met PAOLO MALDINI at a party and jokingly told the AC MILAN star he would pay him £150,000 ($270,000) a week to move to England.
But the veteran defender took Gallagher at his word and was keen on accepting his offer, leaving Gallagher with no choice but to belatedly explain he was jesting.
He says, "I said to him in a drunken ramble if he promised to play for City I would personally give him £150,000 a week.
"My manager rang me to tell me he thought I meant it. I had to phone him to tell him I didn’t." Gallagher would have spent his estimated £25 million ($45 million) fortune in three years if he had gone through with the deal.
