Drink and drive
A Dutch scientist is encouraging young people to get drunk and drive.
Karel Brookhuis, of the University of Groningen, created the unique driving test in an effort to show the young people of his hometown of Emmen how dangerous it is to get behind the wheel while inebriated.
Participants are first asked to complete a slalom course, an emergency stop and a parking exercise, while sober.
Then they consume alcohol until they are over the drink-drive limit and have another go at the test.
Brookhuis told Dutch Het Laatste Nieuws newspaper: "Youngsters who took the drink driving test were not likely to attempt to drink and drive in later life."
