Hunky actor JUDE LAW has discovered a new hobby after following his little daughter’s rock climbing obsession.
The British actor has been taking his daughter IRIS to a community centre near his home in London, and now he spends his spare time trying to top his kid’s climbing skills.
He explains, "You do indoor rock climbing and you train on fabricated rock fronts and I take my kids.
"My little girl, she’s five (and) she climbs up to 110 feet. It’s amazing.
(She’s) fearless." But Law admits he’s a fairweather climber and has no plans to venture outside: "It’s too wet in London."

Former SEINFELD star JULIA LOUIS-DREYFUS was left red-faced during her appearance on THE TONIGHT SHOW in America last night (14SEP06) when host JAY LENO pointed out she was wearing the same outfit as the one she donned for a recent magazine cover.
Wisecracking Leno was complimenting the actress on her cover shot for Los Angeles Times weekend supplement Life when he realised she was wearing the same dress from the shoot.
Louis-Dreyfus laughed off the fashion slip-up, stating, ‘I liked it. It worked at the photo shoot and I thought, ‘What the hell, I’ll wear it on Leno.’"

Newly-retired tennis ace ANDRE AGASSI and his wife STEFFI GRAF are developing a new luxury hotel and spa in Idaho.
The sporting couple has finalised a deal to develop a new project to be managed by the Fairmont hotel group, according to USA Today newspaper.
The Tamarack Resort, which overlooks Lake Cascade to the north of Boise, already features a ski area and a championship golf course.

Former SEINFELD star JULIA LOUIS-DREYFUS’ husband had every reason to smile when the actress picked up an Emmy Award last month (AUG06) - because the victory netted him a cool $8,000 (£4,400).
Dreyfus’ husband of 19 years, BRAD HALL, secretly waged $2,000 (£1,100) that his wife would win a Best Actress prize for her role in critically-acclaimed sitcom THE NEW ADVENTURES OF OLD CHRISTINE - and won big.
The thrilled actress explains, "They have odds in Vegas for award shows and who’s gonna win… and so he bet on me and I didn’t know this.
"He looked up the odds beforehand, and they weren’t very good; they were like five to one.
"He said he wasn’t gonna bet and then after I won he said, ‘Guess what, I did bet.’ He bet $2,000 and won $10,000. "I said, ‘Why didn’t you bet more?’ and he said, ‘Well, your odds weren’t that good.’" Meanwhile, the actress insists she won her Emmy because she took along her lucky parents.
She adds, "I won one Emmy one time before, which was exactly 10 years ago, and I had been nominated many times and never won and then one year my parents decided to come with me… and that was the year I won.
"Guess what, I brought my parents this year… Isn’t that neat?"

Former THE WEST WING star KRISTIN CHENOWETH is set to become a real triple threat when she takes on the three lead roles in a new production of THE APPLE TREE on Broadway.
The Tony Award-winning stage star will play EVE, PRINCESS BARBARA and ELLA in the BOCK & HARNICK musical at Studio 54.
The Apple Tree, which opens in December (06), is based on MARK TWAIN’s THE DIARY OF ADAM & EVE, THE LADY OR THE TIGER by FRANK STOCKTON and JULES FEIFFER’s PASSIONELLA.
The Apple Tree premiered on Broadway in 1966 and was originally directed by MIKE NICHOLS.

SHARON STONE is getting serious about the next man she invites to share her life - because she wants to find the perfect father figure for her three adopted boys.
The single mum insists she can’t just think about her own likes and dislikes anymore - she has to consider her kids.
She says, "My children need to have someone they can look up to, someone they can look at and say, ‘Gee, I’d like to be just like him.
"I don’t want to bring some schmuck around them, so, when I meet people, I have to think about whether they will be good examples to my sons."

JULIAN McMAHON uses experiences from his own quirky sex life to spice up his love scenes in hit drama NIP/TUCK. McMahon claims playing lusty plastic surgeon CHRISTIAN TROY on the hit series wasn’t a huge stretch - because the character is so close to his own personality.
He tells gay publication The Advocate, "I think we’re pretty similar (sexually). I think that’s why it’s been easy for me to inhabit the character.
"Everything Christian does, I inject something from my experience. I was trying to get bondage into the show. "When we first started talking about kicking it up a notch this season, I thought that might be a good way to do it." But while McMahon is open to most sexual encounters the show’s writers come up with, he won’t go so far as to share a same sex kiss on screen.
He adds, "I’m not good with the other-guy thing. I don’t want to see my buddy’s cum face!"

Designer MICHAEL KORS is heading a new trend in fashion - refusing to work with super-skinny models.
The American fashion guru admits he’s sick of seeing unhealthy, waif-like girls on the catwalk and snubs anyone who looks unnaturally thin.
He says, "Thin is fine but it has to be healthy. When I see a model come in and I look and I can tell this is not naturally how they’re supposed to look, we don’t book them." Kors has been joined by the organisers of the Madrid Fashion Week in Spain, which begins next week (18SEP06) - they’ve insisted all catwalk models taking part pass a body mass index test.
In the test, models must pass 18 on a scale based on their height and weight.
One model who has been told to stay away from Madrid is superthin catwalk star FABIANA.
She says, "I can’t go because I’m too skinny for them."

Veteran TV actor PAT CORLEY has died of congestive heart failure at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. He was 76.
Corley is best known as bartender PHIL on TV sitcom MURPHY BROWN.
The burly Texan also enjoyed successes on Broadway, New York and appeared in TV shows like HILL STREET BLUES and MAGNUM P.I.
His movie career included roles in TRUE CONFESSIONS and AGAINST ALL ODDS.

MISCHA BARTON was crowned America’s style queen at Life & Style magazine’s second Stylemaker’s Awards in Los Angeles last night (14SEP06).
The pretty actress beat out wild-child LINDSAY LOHAN and JENNIFER LOPEZ to claim the Stylemaker of The Year prize, which was handed to her by magazine editor DEBRA BIRNBAUM.
Birnbaum admits the choice was an easy one for Life & Style fashion bosses: "Mischa is always stylish and she continues to set trends from head to toe, both on and off the red carpet."

Filming a shooting showdown for the first-season finale of hit medical GREY’S ANATOMY was tough for actor ISAIAH WASHINGTON because it brought back painful memories of the time he was shot for real.
The actor, whose character DR PRESTON BURKE ended the first season of the show in a pool of blood after he was gunned down outside a hospital, remembers only too well what it feels like to be shot.
He reveals, "I was young and dumb and one day I popped my mouth to the wrong person and got shot." Washington will be seen sharing his shooting story with troubled teenager HAKEEM WHITE for a segment on US TV court show JUDGE HATCHETT. He tells the youth, who comes up before the TV judge for a series of crimes, "Somebody tried to take my life. I have a bullet hole in my right hip from being shot.
"I thought I was smarter and faster and quicker than the person I was waiting for at the age of 19.
"I’m 42 and there was a time where I thought I’d never see 25." Washington admits he has been keeping his shooting incident a secret, but felt the terrible tale could help troubled White turn his life around.
The actor explains, "He needed to see that we all have a choice in this world, that we can all change our destiny."

Clooney accepts Americans have plenty to worry about, but feels his efforts to stop the genocide should be at the top of everyone’s priority lists.
He says, "We have to look at absolute cruelty and say, ‘If there’s something we can do about it we have to stop it.’ "Are we going to stand back 10 years from now and somehow try to convince ourselves that we didn’t know? We do. How you deal with it will be your legacy." Clooney, who spent five days in Sudan earlier this year (06) interviewing terrified refugees for a documentary, insists time is running out for the Africans being hunted down by the Arab militia in Darfur.
The actor explained to UN officials that African Union lawmakers who have been policing the region, have been ordered to pull out on 30 September (06) and Clooney fears the genocide that has claimed more than 200,000 lives in recent years will return and shock the world.

NIGEL LYTHGOE and KEN WARWICK will be the unlikely stars of new show CORKSCREWED, which will be aired in Britain and America later this year (06).
The show will follow the two Brits as they turn their talentspotting skills to winemaking at their new vineyard in Paso Robles, California.
As well as being among the brains behind American Idol, Lythgoe produces and judges US talent search SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE, while Warwick executive produces top-rated summer phenomenon AMERICA’S GOT TALENT.

JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE is hoping to revive legendary Memphis, Tennessee soul studio Stax after making a deal with label bosses to help turn his pal MATT MORRIS into a big star.
Morris is Timberlake’s first signing to the fledgling label, which will run out of the pop superstar’s native Memphis, according to Rolling Stone magazine.
Stax Records was a major contributor to the pop music landscape throughout the 1960s, producing hits by soul superstars like OTIS REDDING, WILSON PICKETT and BOOKER T & THE MGS.
The site of the original Stax headquarters was turned into a soul music museum and education centre in 2002.
