SPACEY ADDS IMPROMPTU LOT AT CLINTON AUCTION

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 9:39 am

KEVIN SPACEY added an impromptu lot when he compered former US President BILL CLINTON’s 60th birthday charity auction in Toronto, Canada, on Saturday (09SEP06).
The AMERICAN BEAUTY actor was inspired to offer a luxury trip to see him perform in A MOON FOR THE MISBEGOTTEN at London’s Old Vic theatre, where he is also artistic director.
A mystery buyer snapped up four tickets - which include flights to London, accommodation and dinner with Spacey after the show - for $230,000 (£130,000).
Spacey helped raise $20 million (£11 million) for Clinton’s AIDS initiative.
His spokesperson says, "Kevin hadn’t planned it. He was onstage and saw the astronomical sums paid for other lots."
