JOHNSON RUBBISHES WRESTLING RETURN RUMOURS
THE SCORPION KING star DWAYNE JOHNSON has rubbished rumours he is set to adopt his THE ROCK persona again and return to the wrestling ring.
The 34-year-old found fame of one of World Wrestling Entertainment’s best-loved stars and retired quietly from grappling to become a movie star.
And he insists wrestling was merely a stepping stone on the way to attaining his true calling in Hollywood, and he has no intention of going back.
Johnson says, "I have been out (of wrestling ) now for about three, four years. People always ask me (if I will go back) because I quietly got out.
"I never wanted to make a big splash or exodus… I just wanted to quietly get out and devote myself to acting.
"When I first got into acting I never wanted to say from this day forward I only want to be know as Dwayne Johnson as that did not feel good to me or right.
"But I wanted to hopefully - and I am happy this is what has taken place naturally."
