Jane Fonda has warned Lindsay Lohan to "slow down" or risk a career burn out.

The legendary actress insists the Hollywood wild child needs to cut down on her partying and also praised the studio executive who sent the ‘Mean Girls’ star a letter criticising her behaviour.
Jane, 68, told Access Hollywood: "I think every once in a while, a very, very young person who is burning both ends of the candle needs to have somebody say, ‘You know, you’re going to pay the piper, you better slow down.’ So I think it was a good thing she got that letter." In July, James G. Robinson, the head of Morgan Creek Productions, sent Lindsay a letter after she took a day off due to what she called "heat exhaustion".
Robinson didn’t believe her story, and wrote: "We are well aware that your ongoing all-night, heavy partying is the real reason for your so-called ‘exhaustion’." ‘Barbarella’ star Fonda thought the letter was exactly what Lohan needed.
She explained: "She parties all the time… and you know, she’s young and she can get away with it.
"But, you know, it’s hard after a while to party very hard and work very hard. She learned that, I hope. I just want to take her in my arms and hold her until she becomes grown-up."
