GLOVER HONOURED BY DIRECTORS GUILD OF AMERICA
DANNY GLOVER was honoured by the Directors Guild Of America (DGA) yesterday (12SEP06) for his humanitarian work in the US and Africa.
The LETHAL WEAPON actor was lauded at a ceremony in Los Angeles alongside film-maker ARTHUR PENN, SOPRANOS creator DAVID CHASE and New York City mayor MICHAEL BLOOMBERG.
DGA vice president STEVEN SODERBERGH says, "This is a true list of leaders." Glover has worked as a goodwill ambassador for the United Nations in Africa, and was arrested in 2004 during a protest about the humanitarian crisis in Sudan.
