British actress MIRIAM MARGOLYES is convinced Hollywood beauty CATE BLANCHETT is the only actress who could play her in a biopic - if she wore a fat suit.
The HARRY POTTER star admits there is no actress "fat or clever enough" to play her, but at least Blanchett would be intellectually suitable for the role.
Margolyes says, "I don’t know that there’ anybody that can play me. "I’ve never met anybody who’s as fat or as clever. Maybe Cate Blanchett in a fat suit."

Director DARREN ARONOFSKY had no problem directing his fiancee RACHEL WEISZ’ sex scenes with HUGH JACKMAN in THE FOUNTAIN, because he is a "pervert".
Rather than stifle the sexy scenes, the American encouraged the pair to get down and dirty.

Johansson says, "Obviously it was interesting doing that scene with Josh. But I have to say it wasn’t particularly romantic. Shooting those sorts of scenes always ends up being more funny than anything else.
"You have about ten electricians chewing on sandwiches and staring at you as you writhe around. The you have the director (BRIAN DE PALMA) shouting orders at you to ‘move here and ‘put your hand there’. "I’m glad it comes off as sexy because in real life it was more like taking part in an organised boxing match."

Hollywood epic BEN-HUR will be brought to life in a spectacular recreation of the story at the Stade de France stadium in Paris.
A cast of hundreds will be involved in ROBERT HOSSEIN’s production about Jewish prince JUDAH BEN-HUR and his victory over the Romans.
The performance will run for five nights (22SEP06-27SEP06) and will recreate famous scenes such as a sea battle and gladiatorial fight, as well as the infamous chariot race.

British TV actor JEFF STEWART has vehemently denied reports he tried to kill himself, insisting he is recovering from an emotional breakdown.
The star of British TV show THE BILL was hospitalised after collapsing last week (ends10SEP06) - but after a stint at London detox clinic The Priory, he is simply glad to be alive.
Stewart says, "It’s true I was in a bit of a state. In fact I’d hit rock bottom and was on medication. But there is no way I would ever take my own life and I can’t really explain what happened that evening. I was probably in a worse state than I was prepared to admit - and I did go to the Priory for a few days to get back on my feet.
"I’m back home now and I’m feeling fit and strong enough to return to work.
"The Bill has given me a great focus in life and this recent illness has renewed my relish for acting and for life in general."

ROMAN POLANSKI will be presented with a lifetime achievement award from the European Film Academy later this year (06).
The Academy will honour the Polish director for "his outstanding dedication to cinema". Polanski will collect his award at the prize giving on 2 December (06) in Warsaw, Poland. The 73-year-old is responsible for screen classics including ROSEMARY’S BABY, THE FEARLESS VAMPIRE KILLERS and THE PIANIST.

The X-FACTOR judge - who recently launched a new TV talk show in Britain says she has been working on her cosmetics range for "some time".
She will also record a new DVD packed with fashion and style advice for fans - to launch together with the make-up line.
The 53-year-old wife of former BLACK SABBATH frontman OZZY OSBOURNE says, "I get asked all the time how I stay looking good and what make-up I wear.
"It’s an idea I have been working on for some time I want to get involved in the creative process too."

The former 98 DEGREES bandmember exposed his married life with singer/actor JESSICA SIMPSON to viewers across the world in the MTV show.
The programme finished last year (05) and the couple finalised their divorce on 30 June (06) - and Lachey will never do it again.

Rapper FONZWORTH BENTLEY was so terrified before going on stage at the Fashion Rocks concert on Thursday (07SEP06) he is fearful he will never be able to perform again.
Bentley, real name DEREK WATKINS, sang with KANYE WEST at the launch event of New York’s Fashion Week - which featured performances from BEYONCE, CHRISTINA AGUILERA and SIR ELTON JOHN. But despite receiving rave reviews, the artist is worried he has lost his nerve to stage fright.
Bentley tells MTV news, "I was so nervous.
"Backstage, I asked Kanye, ‘Are these butterflies in my stomach?’ And Kanye told me, ‘No. Those aren’t butterflies, those are bees.’ I don’t know if I can perform again. It’s a lot of stress."

The British recording industry has launched another Mercury Prize to be judged by kids, as part of the UK’s National Music Week (16-20CT06).
The competition will give secondary school students the chance to choose between 10 different British artists before deciding who should win the prize.
Competition artists include former BUSTED star MATT WILLIS, R&B star KEISHA WHITE and classical vocal group ALL ANGELS.
Musician-turned-TV presenter MYLEENE KLASS launched the competition, results of which will be announced next month (31OCT06).
She says, "The quality and diversity of the acts unveiled today just goes to show how much young talent there is in the country."

THE ROLLING STONES are soon to be immortalised as cartoon characters, as new animated movie RUBY TUESDAY is currently in development.
The cartoon, which will be written by ASTERIX VS CAESAR creators PAUL and GAETAN BRIZZI, is described as "a Faustian tale of a single mother searching for happiness in New York".
Ruby Tuesday, which will be packed with the rockers’ classic hits, was given the go-ahead by SIR MICK JAGGER’s production company Jagged Films, and is set to start production this year (06) thanks to the financing power of French filmmaker LUC BESSON’s company EuropaCorp.

Jazz singer NORAH JONES forgot the words to her most famous hit at a charity gig in New York at the weekend (09SEP06).
The singer’s mind went blank midway through a performance of DON’T KNOW WHY at WHOOPI GOLDBERG’s Rainforest Action Network gala at Manhattan bar the Plumm on Saturday.
Jones eventually recovered her composure - but not without skipping some of the lines.
An audience member tells PageSix.com, "She looked confused and just sat there for a minute. Then she said, ‘Sorry about that,’ and started up again - but she left two lines out."

HOPE OF THE STATES frontman SAM HERLIHY has spoken out for the first time since the band decided to split.
The rock six-piece called it quits after appearing at Britain’s Reading and Leeds Festival weekend last month (AUG06).
The UK group - who were hit by tragedy in 2004 when guitarist JIMMI LAWRENCE killed himself - insists they are proud of everything they have done, but are keen to leave the music business before they become "rubbish".
Herlihy says, "One of the things I’m most proud of is we stopped before we went rubbish and before we started doing things we’d always refused to do in the past out of some sense of desperation or being forced into things by people. "We can be really proud of everything we did."

The LET ME BLOW YOUR MIND star refuses to make "angry" music, as she is worried about the effect it has on young rap fans.
And she insists the rap community has a duty to present a positive image to the public.
Eve says, "I hate angry music now. I feel we have a responsibility to the people who watch us. And they think our music is a real message about how to live. "It’s so stupid. These are grown men with wives and children, nice cars and jets and all this money. And then they go on as if they’re still part of the hood."

CHRISTINA AGUILERA has been axed from the front cover of Vibe Magazine’s October (06) edition in favour of troubled performer BOBBY BROWN.
The DIRRTY star gave an interview and posed for a photo shoot for the publication as part of the publicity for her new album BACK TO BASICS - but the feature has been shelved after new owners took over the magazine.
Aguilera’s piece was ditched and she was replaced by Brown.
Relations between Vibe and Aguilera worsened when the magazine planned to put the sexy photos of the diva on its website but not in the print version.
Aguilera’s manager IRVING AZOFF even wrote Vibe a letter accusing its management of a breach of contract.
The singer’s representative CINDY GUAGENTI says, "When there’s a change at a magazine, you understand that there might be a new direction. But Christina is completely within the scope of the magazine - she is very relevant to Vibe’s readers, and we would still like them to honour their commitment. We want them to give us back our cover!" But the magazine’s new editor Danyel Smith, who was appointed by the new owners, tells the New York Daily News, "I can’t speak on the previous administration and what they did promise or didn’t promise. But there was never an article to put anywhere. There was never a written piece.
"We had considered putting the photos online and then decided against it."
