Anna Nicole Smith’s 20-year-old son has mysteriously died in the Bahamas.
Daniel Smith’s body was discovered on Sunday (10.09.06) - three days after the 38-year-old former Playboy Playmate gave birth to a daughter.
Anna Nicole’s attorney, Howard K. Stern, said in a statement: "We have yet to learn the cause of death but do not believe that drugs or alcohol were a factor.
"Anna Nicole is absolutely devastated by the loss of her son. He was her pride and joy and an amazing human being." Anna Nicole - real name Vicki Lynn Hogan - shot to fame after being named Playboy’s Playmate of the Year in 1993.
The following year, she met 89-year-old wheelchair-bound oil tycoon J.
Marshall Howard in strip club and they married soon after.
When he died 14 months later, Anna Nicole and the billionaire’s son, E.
Pierce Marshall, became embroiled in a vicious court battle as they fought for a share of his estate.
The case came to an end earlier this year after the US Supreme Court awarded Anna Nicole millions of dollars. E. Pierce himself died in June (06).
