SIR PAUL McCARTNEY’s shooting ban on his organic farm in England has been slammed for causing more damage than good.
Local surveyors in East Sussex have criticised the former BEATLE because the hunting embargo is allowing local pests - the wild boar - to cause chaos to the farming environment.
The reports states: "They (wild boar) are predominant in the area and cause a considerable amount of damage uprooting pasture, damaging trees, young and old, and fences.
"Much of the woodland has been fenced in to keep the wild boar out as the farm has adopted a no shooting or hunting policy.
"The wild boar disturb the soil which aggravates the weeds, dock, thistles and nettle problem."

STATUS QUO star RICK PARFITT’s jilted ex-wife has hit out at the rocker after revealing it was her that introduced him to his new bride.
PATTY PARFITT was left heartbroken when her childhood sweetheart husband ditched her for friend LYNDSAY WHITBURN, who she met at a local health club.
The guitarist and Whitburn, his third bride, married in Gibraltar earlier this month (SEP06).
Devastated Patty says, "I can’t believe that I was friends with Lyndsay in the first place, I introduced her to Rick and now this has happened.
"It’s a real kick in the teeth… it’s horrible, just horrible.
"It was only in May (06) when Rick was on tour in Australia that he was ringing me up declaring his undying love for me. Then four months later he runs off and marries someone else. It’s bizarre and it’s horrible.
"Clearly Rick doesn’t care about anything else but himself."

British rockers KEANE have cancelled their North American tour so singer TOM CHAPLIN can complete treatment for his addictions to alcohol and cocaine.
The SOMEWHERE ONLY WE KNOW three-piece decided to axe the dates to allow Chaplin time to fully recover in London celebrity rehabilitation clinic The Priory.
Keyboard player TIM RICE-OXLEY says, "Obviously it’s crucial that Tom is given the time to get better properly.
"His doctors feel there is undue pressure on Tom to rush through rehab and get back out on the road.
"(The decision was made) in the best interests of our friend - which, ultimately, is in the best interests of the band too."

Veteran rocker ERIC CLAPTON received a letter from his dead son just hours after the four-year-old’s funeral in 1991.
The LAYLA guitarist was mourning CONOR, who died after falling from the 53rd floor of a New York apartment building after a cleaner left the window open, when he received the heartbreaking letter.
Conor had written his first letter to dad Clapton days before his tragic death. It was posted in London by his mother LORY DEL SANTO.
Speaking on US TV show PRIMETIME, the Italian model said, "The baby had learned to write a few words and he said to me, ‘Oh mummy, I want to write a letter to daddy, what shall I write?’ "I told him, ‘Well, write I love you.’ He wrote that and we posted it like a regular letter.
"After Conor died, Eric and I arrived in London for the funeral. I was there when Eric received his mail just after the funeral and he opened it and it was Conor’s letter. That is a moment I cannot forget." Clapton paid tribute to his son with his award-winning track TEARS TO HEAVEN.

GARBAGE singer SHIRLEY MANSON has spoken out about her self-harming past to raise awareness of sufferers’ "addiction" to cutting themselves.
The Scottish star fronts new documentary CUT: TEENS AND SELF-INJURY and hopes the movie will prevent youngsters from wounding themselves.
She says, "It needs to be talked about and it needs to be talked about now.
"I think I started cutting because I was an inarticulate teenager. There was a lot of information that I was unable to properly articulate, so it came out in strange ways and the cutting was one of them.
"From the people I have spoken to, it seems that most people grow out of it and it doesn’t seem to be something that they carry with them through adulthood.
"Of course, there’s exceptions to every rule but, in general, it seems people just somehow pass that moment."

The woman who was photographed as PETE DOHERTY plunged a needle into her arm while she lay seemingly comatose on his kitchen floor has slammed the rocker for injecting her without permission.
LAURA McEVOY, 21, claims she had no idea that Doherty would place a needle in her arm and that she became "hysterical" when she realised she might have contracted AIDS.
The BABYSHAMBLES frontman was arrested and questioned by police after the controversial pictures, which depicted the self-confessed drug addict injecting himself as well as McEvoy, were published in a British newspaper in April (06).
McEvoy says, "It was supposed to be ironic, because of his reputation with drugs.
"I don’t remember how it all started. We’d all been drinking for hours and we’d taken some drugs. It seemed funny to pose for pictures. But everything changed when he put the needle in my arm.
"He never told me he was going to put the syringe in my arm. I would never have agreed.
"When I realised what Pete had done I was horrified. I looked at him and said, ‘Why did you do that? I hate needles.’ "He apologised and said he thought I knew what he was going to do. Later I asked if the needle was clean and he said it was - but I still had an AIDS test and a vaccination for hepatitis.
"I was very scared and very upset. I realised the implications when I had sobered up the next day and I became hysterical. I knew all of this had to stop.
"It seemed like so much fun at the time but getting involved with him was so dangerous, if not deadly. I was lucky to have escaped."
