LATEST: The boy band who duped SIMON COWELL on British TV show THE X FACTOR are actually signed to SonyBMG, the label which Cowell is contracted to.
Cowell and fellow X Factor judges SHARON OSBOURNE, LOUIS WALSH and PAULA ABDUL yesterday (09SEP06) discovered five-piece AVENUE made it through to the second stage of the talent show despite already having a record deal - a clear breach of competition rules.
A source says, "How Simon didn’t know about this is incredible. It makes the whole show a sham."
