McCARTNEY SAVES LOG CABIN

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 9:34 am

LATEST: SIR PAUL McCARTNEY has been allowed to keep his beloved log cabin on his East Sussex, England estate - on the condition he demolish three of his other buildings on the grounds.
The singer, 64, built the secluded hideaway in 2002 and has been trying to secure retrospective planning permission from Rother District Council this year (06).
But after being informed the cabin was a blight on an area of outstanding natural beauty, he offered to bulldoze his own house and two barns instead last month (AUG06).
And although his move to save the building may seem drastic, McCartney insisted to local planning authorities he relied on the "privacy, seclusion and security" of the lodge house.
McCartney has lived on the Woodlands estate in Peasmarsh, East Sussex, for the past 25 years.
