LONGORIA GUESSED THAT CROSS WAS PREGNANT
LATEST: EVA LONGORIA turned celebrity sleuth when she noticed DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES co-star MARCIA CROSS behaving strangely during a cast party - and prompted the actress to confess she was pregnant.
Earlier this week (beg04SEP06), Cross went public with the news she’s expecting her first child with new husband TOM MAHONEY but Longoria was among the first to figure out her pal was a mum-to-be.
She recalls, “She wasn’t drinking wine. She wouldn’t have some things and we were like, ‘Hmmm.’ At the end of the night, we were like, ‘You’re pregnant…’ and she told us (she was).” And, though her Desperate Housewives character, GABRIELLE SOLIS, is no one’s idea of the perfect babysitter, Longoria insists she wants to be Cross’ first choice if she even needs a break from being mum.
She adds, “I will babysit. I’m ready. Give me the baby and the bottle.”
