Bank robbing Cretans
Greek police are hunting a gang who used stolen heavy-duty vehicles to raid a bank in Crete.
Using a stolen bulldozer, the gang broke into the bank in Kalyves, wrenched a safe from the wall and escaped after loading ?200,000 into a stolen truck.
Police were unable to reach the bank, because the gang had blocked off the road with two stolen cement mixers.
When a squad car managed to get through the barricades, the robbers fired at the tyres.
A dozen people are believed to have taken part in the heist.
