ABDUL-JABBAR SUED IN DOUBLE WRONGFUL TERMINATION BATTLE
Basketball superstar-turned-actor KAREEM ABDUL-JABBAR has been caught up in a double wrongful termination lawsuit after allegedly having a woman fired after she confronted him about dismissing her pregnant daughter.
In a bizarre case filed in Los Angeles’ Superior Court on Tuesday (05SEP06), DIANA BRODA claims the US sporting great had her fired from her job at a law firm for threatening him with legal action.
In the documents, obtained by news website TMZ.com, Broda claims Abdul-Jabbar sacked her daughter from his Ain Jeem company late last year (05) after discovering she was pregnant.
Broda, who worked for a law firm that represented Abdul-Jabbar, contacted the retired basketball star and threatened to file suit. The sportsman then had her dismissed.
The suit seeks unspecified damages.
