IRWIN DEATH TAPE SHOULD BE DESTROYED, MANAGER URGES

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 3:22 pm

LATEST: The manager of late naturalist STEVE IRWIN has lashed out at callous reports claiming film footage of the CROCODILE HUNTER’s death will be broadcast on TV.
Irwin was killed when a stingray speared him through the heart as he swam by the Great Barrier Reef while filming an underwater documentary on Monday (04SEP06).
And JOHN STANTON insists the video of Irwin’s death is so harrowing he will personally ensure it is destroyed as soon as Australian police in Queensland have finished viewing it.
He says, "It should be destroyed. When that (tape) is finally released it will never see the light of day, ever.
"I actually saw it and I don’t want to see it again." Media reports suggested Irwin’s family are determined to respect his last wishes and allow the harrowing footage to be broadcast.
Irwin once insisted, "My number one rule is to keep that camera rolling. Even if it’s shaky or slightly out of focus, I don’t give a rip.
"Even if a big old alligator is chewing me up I want to go down and go, ‘Crikey!’ just before I die. That would be the ultimate for me."
