Hollywood director Oliver Stone insists his new film ‘World Trade Centre’ is completely non-political.
The legendary filmmaker says the movie - which depicts events following the 9/11 terrorist attacks on New York’s World Trade Centre - should not be perceived as political propaganda, but as an account of human emotions.
He told Britain’s Live magazine: “This film was not about politics.
“I wanted to keep it as a simple human story of survival and, mostly, about the power of love and family.” The film - which stars Nicolas Cage - follows the lives of two policemen who were the last survivors pulled from the rubble.
Stone added: “This was about two ordinary guys who went to work one day and found themselves in an extraordinary situation that not only changed their lives but changed our world.”
