British funnyman DAVID WALLIAMS has spoken out about the abuse he suffered at the hands of a perverted scout leader at a nudist camp in the Netherlands.
The LITTLE BRITAIN television star, who was a scout from the age of 11 to 14, was too young to realise he was being exploited but returns to face the horror in new book INSIDE LITTLE BRITAIN.
He recalls being taken with six other boys to a naturist site in Holland where a strange man tried to make advances on him.
Walliams says, "I remember thinking it was quite weird but at that age you just don’t say, ‘I’m sorry, what are you doing?’ You kind of let the dirty old man feel up your leg.
"It’s weird to think of it now, but they would do stuff like say, ‘Now you’ve got to put this wetsuit on… it’s very tight-fitting so you have to take your trunks off and we’ll have to rub some baby oil into you in order to slip it on.’ And Walliams revealed his scout leaders would often physically assault the boys as punishment.
Referring to an incident where he was beaten for forgetting his uniform, Walliams says, "Now I would think, ‘What right have you got to hit me - you’re just a f**king scout master!’ "You wouldn’t get away with that now, but back then it just struck me as a bit weird."
