Comedienne ROSIE O’DONNELL has blasted talk show host OPRAH WINFREY for failing to control TOM CRUISE during his infamous couch-jumping escapades on her program last year (MAY05).
Cruise had only been dating fiancee KATIE HOLMES for five weeks when he leaped all over Winfrey’s furniture, pummelled the floor with his fists and shouted, "I’m in love, I’m in love." Longtime Cruise fan O’Donnell was stunned by the public and media backlash against his behaviour last year, and believes Winfrey should have stepped in to curtail the actor’s enthusiasm on her talk show.
A LEAGUE OF THEIR OWN star O’Donnell tells Newsweek magazine, "I saw him doing the couch jumping.
"I wasn’t mad at him. I was mad at Oprah. Oprah, couldn’t you have said, ‘Tommy, come here! Don’t jump.’" O’Donnell insists she would have retaped the segment with a calmer Cruise had he done the same thing on her former talk show THE ROSIE O’DONNELL SHOW, which ended in 2002.
O’Donnell insists she loves Cruise, declaring, "For me, to love someone is not to get rid of them when they do something you don’t think is appropriate. I love him, and love is eternal."

BRAD PITT has slammed reports his girlfriend ANGELINA JOLIE is pregnant with their second child.
American magazine In Touch Weekly’s front page story claims the GIRL, INTERRUPTED actress, 31, is sporting a “telltale bump” - three months after giving birth to her first biological child SHILOH NOUVEL.
Pitt and Jolie also have two adopted children, Cambodian MADDOX, four, and Ethiopian ZAHARA MARLEY, 20 months.
However, the FIGHT CLUB actor’s spokesperson tells the New York Daily News, “It’s so stupid. That magazine is a joke.”

CHRISTINA AGUILERA is hoping to kick start her family by giving birth to a baby boy.
The CAR WASH hitmaker married JORDAN BRATMAN last November (05), but insists she’ll wait a few years before making babies with the marketing executive.
When she sang about her "little girl" on her new album track THE RIGHT MAN, fans began to suspect a baby was already on the way.
She says, "When the time is right. I have the prediction I’m going to have a boy first.
"So I hope people don’t think I’m trying to jinx myself by writing about a little girl.
"I’d be overjoyed by either. I hope people get that."

OZZY OSBOURNE’s son JACK refuses to blame his role in reality TV show THE OSBOURNES for his battle with booze, insisting his genes left him vulnerable to alcoholism.
Both Jack and his sister KELLY endured stints in rehab after the show shot them to fame in 2001, and the 20-year-old is convinced they were always destined to battle the bottle.
But the star, who has recently developed a love of extreme sports, is determined to remain healthy.
He says, "I think it would have happened anyway. Some people are born with bad eyes or kidneys, and some with alcoholism.
"I believe I was born with it."

Former British urban act SO SOLID CREW bandmember MEGAMAN is on trial for murder for the third time in London’s Old Bailey court.
The rapper, real name DWAYNE VINCENT, is accused of aiding and abetting friend CARL MORGAN to shoot 24-year-old COLIN SCARLETT in Tooting, south London in 2004.
Morgan, 24, was found guilty of murdering Scarlett last year (05), but Vincent is standing trial for the third time due to "various technical and administrative reasons", JUDGE MARTIN STEPHENS told the jury today (04SEP06).
Morgan was said to have killed Scarlett following a fight between the two men earlier in the day, which saw the murder victim attack Morgan in front of his ex-girlfriend - who was then dating Scarlett.
JEREMY DONNE, QC prosecuting lawyer, said, "Morgan enlisted the help of Vincent and others and armed himself with a self loading .32 pistol and live ammunition. When they found Mr Scarlett, there was a brief encounter before Morgan with Vincent’s encouragement and support, shot him dead. This is a case about humiliation - or disrespect - fermenting a desire for revenge." The case continues.

SIR PAUL McCARTNEY is paying tribute to his late wife LINDA McCARTNEY with the October (06) release of his classical opus ECCE COR MEUM.
The former BEATLE has spent eight years perfecting the composition, and the Latin title translates as BEHOLD MY HEART.
Ecce Cor Meum is almost an hour long and will be released through EMI Classics.
EMI spokesman THOMAS KAURICH says, "There’s already a large platform of fans who know and have enjoyed Paul’s classical works. These pieces have taken his wonderful talents for lyricism into the classical arena.
"The release of any work like this is going to be an event in itself, as early press interest in Ecce Cor Meum shows." The score will be released on 25 October (06).

KELLY OSBOURNE has rubbished rumours she married her rocker boyfriend at a music festival in Ireland yesterday (03SEP06).
The rock heiress was reported to have wed MATTY DERHAM, the bassist from little-known band FIELDS, on a bouncy castle church at the Electric Picnic Music Festival in County Laois.
As the rumours circulated Osbourne’s parents SHARON and BLACK SABBATH frontman OZZY were said to be furious.
But the 21-year-old insists the story is "totally untrue".
Her spokesman GARY FARROW says, "Over the weekend a number of rumours circulated very quickly suggesting that Kelly Osbourne had got married at a festival in Ireland.
"This is totally untrue and is as real as the inflatable church that carries out these non-legally binding mock marriages for fun."

A film insider said: "Bond will always be a hit with the ladies. But Daniel has a massive gay fan base and that can’t be ignored.

Hollywood actress YUNJIN KIM finds her part in hit show LOST a challenge because she’s used to playing the exact opposite of her character SUN.
Kim, who rose to fame in Korea playing a powerful female assassin in hit movie SHIRI, had always played strong, willful females before Lost.
And the martial arts star finds it very difficult to act meek housewife Sun.
She says, "In Shiri it was a powerful LA FEMME NIKITA type of role - a female sniper.
"I went as far as a brown-tipped belt in tae kwon do, but each school is very different as far as status of belts and colours is concerned, so it’s hard to explain what level I was at.
"I’d already had dance training which meant I was flexible and good at remembering choreography, so I learned fast. I also did broadsword fighting and combat with a shorter sword."
