Sir Mick Jagger attended his son’s 21st birthday party last night (31.08.06) - but failed to get in the spirit of the fancy dress bash.
James Jagger organised a medieval-themed ball to see in the big day, but while sister Lizzie embraced the theme by wearing a horned warrior helmet and Viking gown - Mick, 63, was the only guest not to dress up, choosing to wear a black jacket instead.
Model Lizzie, 22, merrily partied until four in the morning, while Mick stayed until 3am.
Birthday boy James - who is studying at a New York drama school after failing to make it in the music business - arrived in orange leggings and a tunic, but spoiled the authentic look by carrying a plastic bag and tucking a packet of cigarettes under his belt.
Among the 130 guests at London’s Hedges and Butler nightclub was Mick’s reported fiancée L’Wren Scott who happily mingled with Mick’s children Lizzie, Jade and Georgia.
James’ mother, and Mick’s ex-wife, Jerry Hall did not attend the party. She is understood to be on holiday with friends in the South of France, recovering from a badly sprained ankle.
Unlike Mick, most guests revelled in outlandish costumes, including Crusader knights, Scottish warriors and damsels in distress.
At one point it appeared the party was out of control when an ambulance arrived and a girl was seen stumbling out of the club with blood pouring from her face.
However, a partygoer explained the woman was meant to look like that - as she had come as a vampire.
