BILLY BOB THORNTON suffered for his art in new movie SCHOOL FOR SCOUNDRELS - by playing tennis with NAPOLEON DYNAMITE star JON HEDER.
The movie star plays a self-help guru trying to steal the object of Heder’s affection from him, and the two teamed up for a doubles tennis game that proved to be a very painful experience.
Thornton explains, "I really did get hit. At first I thought, ‘They’re just tennis balls,’ but if you get whacked by a tennis ball going that fast it’s not real pleasant.
"I was never a tennis player. I got popped with the racket a couple of times in the head. He (Heder) was supposed to miss and he didn’t a time or two.
"It wasn’t that bad because I’ve done movies before where I got seriously injured so if you got to get injured I think a tennis ball is a good way to go."

Celebrity pilot HARRISON FORD helped girlfriend CALISTA FLOCKHART overcome her flying fears by taking her up for a mile-high lesson.
Flockhart admits a little plane knowledge helped her come to terms with flying and she’s now more than happy to hit the skies, especially if Harrison is in the driving seat.
She says, "It has to do with the power of knowledge. When you know the pilot and they can teach you want that noise was and you’re not just sitting in the back of an airplane with these ominous pilots behind a closed door, it helps."

"I’m more concerned about making sure my daughters are OK because they’re really good with me. My wife and I raised our kids together, we were very good parents, we just didn’t end up together ourselves.

Hasselhoff later performed a hip-thrusting dance routine to his new song, aimed at Falconer, before falling asleep during a break in the early-morning show.
However, GMTV producers dismiss speculation he was drunk. A spokesperson for the show says, "We do not believe he was drunk. There was no smell of alcohol." Hasselhoff explains, "I was really tired. I’ve been in Vancouver then Leeds, then Manchester then Croydon."

The British pop star blames the rise of the ’size zero’ Hollywood beauty for the increase in eating disorders in teenage girls. She says, "This whole size zero thing really upsets me. "It’s trying at best to deal with their insistent intrusions. I meant no offence to my fans, whose relationship I truly value.
"I have and will always go out of my way for my fans. My behaviour was a reaction to the persistent attack from the paparazzi.

Pop superstar MICHAEL JACKSON has settled his legal battle with ex-wife DEBBIE ROWE over visitation rights for their two children.
The couple married in 1996, but divorced in 2000 and Rowe gave up all parental rights to their children PRINCE MICHAEL and PARIS the following year (01).
Rowe filed legal papers to reinstate her rights in 2003, shortly after the THIRLLER singer was arrested on the child molestation charges of which he was acquitted last year (05).
Rowe’s lawyer MARTA ALMLI says, "We’re still dealing with the details but it addresses all of the disputes between the parties.
"I can’t say anything about the terms of the settlement but I don’t think it would have happened if both parties didn’t agree it was appealing to both of them." Jackson’s attorney adds, "My client is very satisfied with the results.
Hopefully (Jackson and Rowe) can both get on with their lives now and be through with this litigation."
