Canadian actress CARRIE-ANNE MOSS has blasted nudity in films as unnecessary, and refuses to bare all for the camera.
THE MATRIX star, 39, has been flooded by offers from HUGH HEFNER’s Playboy magazine to strip for a photoshoot, but the idea simply amuses her.
And since starting a family with husband STEVEN ROY, Moss has a new perspective on sharing her body with the public.
She says, "I’m just not like that at all. My first thought would be, ‘What would my mother think?’ "Besides, lots of actresses like JULIA ROBERTS and MICHELLE PFEIFFER don’t do nudity, so I don’t think it’s so important.
"And I don’t think I’ll be posing naked for photos either. I’ve been offered Playboy and when my agent tells me, I laugh hysterically.
"For me there’s also the feeling that since I’m married, there’s a kind sacredness to the body."

COLUMBO star PETER FALK was nonplussed when told he’d never make it in Hollywood, because he initially had no intention of hitting the screen.
The 79-year-old star was determined to succeed as an actor, but theatre was far more important than film to the young New Yorker.
He says, "I wanted to be on stage. In 1950 in New York City if you’re gonna be an actor, you’re gonna act on stage.
"Going to Hollywood was like going to Mars. That had nothing to do with me. I mean, how was I gonna end up in Hollywood? Television? I didn’t even own a TV.
"But I knew actors acted on the stage. That’s what I wanted to do. So when I was told: ‘You won’t be in movies,’ I didn’t know what to make of it. I just said: ‘I don’t intend to be.’"

Rapper-turned-actor ICE CUBE gave up his dreams of arthouse films to secure bigger pay cheques in blockbuster movies.
The THREE KINGS star freely admits he’s been driven by greed, but hopes to return to more interesting roles once he’s secured his place in Hollywood.
He says, "I’m definitely looking into that (arthouse) in the future because that’s really where you can do the films you want.
"We (Cube Vision Productions) didn’t want to do those until we established ourselves. We didn’t want it to look like we only make arthouse movies because then it’s hard to get into doing big features.
"We have always wanted to do both, so we chose the money-making movies first - we’ll go for the more heartfelt stories in the next three or four years."

Hollywood supercouple MICHAEL DOUGLAS and CATHERINE ZETA-JONES hate watching films, because modern movies are always too predictable.
Movie veteran Douglas even refuses to watch his own films after the premiere.
He says, "Neither Catherine nor I are big movie-goers. I prefer watching sport because you don’t know how it’s going to end.
"With movies you can guess the ending. I always say: ‘He’s the bad guy’. So I’ve wasted another hour and I knew what was going to happen all along."

The LIZZIE McGUIRE beauty admits the business puts huge pressure on young girls to shed a few pounds, but refuses to give up her healthy lifestyle.
The 18-year-old says, "There is definitely pressure. People are thin. I do worry about what I look like but I’m not going to let it control my life.
"I do try and eat healthily and exercise. Not because I have to, but because I want to do it for me.
"I think some of the crazy diets that people try are really bad. There are ones where people eat six sultanas a day.
"The Atkins is wrong too. I don’t think it’s good to deprive your body of things like carbohydrates. Everyone should eat things in moderation."

SYLVESTER STALLONE’S wife JENNIFER FLAVIN banned him from movie sex after his intimate one-on-one with SHARON STONE in 1994 film THE SPECIALIST.
Flavin, 38 - the mother of the RAMBO star’s three young daughters - doesn’t believe saucy scenes can be done without emotion, so asked her devoted husband to stop.
And the actor insists he doesn’t mind, because he hated them anyway.
He says, "Jennifer does not believe you can just be acting and thinks there must be some kind of romantic attachment. I hated doing it and Jennifer was upset so I knew that would be the last time for me."

LATEST: Upcoming BBC series ROBIN HOOD is already being reshot in Hungary after the master tapes were stolen on Monday (28AUG06) - but insiders are hinting the lost footage may be traced to rival British broadcast network ITV.
It was originally suspected a Hungarian extra from the show was the culprit, but those working on the project think otherwise.
Just yesterday (29AUG06) production company Tiger Aspect claimed they had "no plans to re-film anything", but the situation changed almost immediately.
British actor KEITH ALLEN, who plays THE SHERIFF OF NOTTINGHAM, says, "We are out here now for quite some time and we don’t really know what’s going on, but we are re-shooting right now.
"We are starting to believe that some of the missing tapes could be traced back to ITV.
"The best thing about Hungary is that it is the perfect place to dump 293 AVID tapes, which is, let me tell you, a hell of a lot of tapes.
"It is 12 cubic feet or, in other words, a very large van." He then quips, in character, that if he ever caught the culprits, "Heads would roll and no orifice would be left untouched."

SCARLETT JOHANSSON has angrily dismissed claims her steamy sex scene in new movie THE BLACK DAHLIA is an unnecessary distraction.
The 21-year-old beauty plays the woman caught between cops JOSH HARTNETT and AARON ECKHART, who are investigating the real-life unsolved murder of a wannabe actress whose mutilated body was discovered in Los Angeles in 1947.
In the film, Johansson enjoys a sizzling romp with Hartnett and critics have complained they found it difficult to concentrate following the raunchy scene.
The blonde star retorts, "Of course it’s nice to be considered sexy, as a young woman in my prime. But I try not to think about the sexiness.
"And I never think about it being distracting from a scene." The BRIAN DE PALMA movie has its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival today (30AUG06).

LATEST: TOM CRUISE was allegedly sacked by Paramount over previous criticism of BROOKE SHIELDS’ use of post-natal anti-depressants.
PAULA FORTUNATO, the wife of Paramount boss SUMNER REDSTONE, was enraged when she heard Cruise’s comments on live TV, and warned her 83-year-old husband that the star’s Scientology-inspired tirade is offputting to female fans.
Redstone said last week (23AUG06): "As much as we like him personally, we thought it was wrong to renew his deal. His recent conduct has not been acceptable to Paramount." The movie mogul originally hinted his decision was largely because of Cruise’s bizarre antics on US TV shows like THE OPRAH WINFREY SHOW and TODAY.
But insiders from Paramount’s parent company Viacom claim Redstone’s 43-year-old wife has great influence on the decisions of her ageing husband.
Viacom spokesman CARL FOLTA says, "It is true that Mrs Redstone disagrees with Tom Cruise’s views, but she and Mr Redstone see every Paramount film."

The STUPID GIRLS singer loves junk food too much is glad she sends a positive message to her young fans that they don’t have to starve themselves to be beautiful and successful.

ROBBIE WILLIAMS was thrilled to collaborate with the PET SHOP BOYS on his new album RUDEBOX, but while he insists he was "making them laugh" the 1980s stars found his presence testing.
The ANGELS hitmaker is proud of his cheeky persona, but the electro-pop veterans had little patience for his wacky antics in the studio, which included getting bored and wandering off.
However, Williams’ perspective is quite different.
He says, "I don’t get on with a lot of people. I don’t find it easy to socialise. What was great for me was getting in with my heroes and having a laugh with them and feeling really comfortable.
"On top of that we created some great music. But first and foremost it was like, ‘I’m with NEIL (TENNANT) and CHRIS (LOWE) and I’m making them laugh, it’s great.’" But from the Pet Shop Boys’ point of view, working with Robbie was a trying experience. Tennant has previously said, "He does have a short attention span.
He’ll do anything rather than rehearse."

British composer COLIN MATTHEWS is heartbroken after discovering astronomers stripped Pluto of its planetary status last week (ends27AUG06).
Matthews released his PLUTO composition in 2000 as an addition to GUSTAV HOLST’s 1917 seven-part ensemble THE PLANETS - which paid homage to Earth’s seven neighbours. Pluto was not discovered until 1926.
Matthews, who learned of the news at Rome, Italy, airport, says, "A certain amount of disappointment, as when I left to go on holiday the news had been quite the opposite.
"In my original program note I wrote, ‘The matter of Pluto’s status as a planet has for some time been in doubt - it may well be reclassified… as no more than an asteroid.’" Pluto was reclassified as a "dwarf planet" last Thursday (24AUG06) by The International Astronomical Union (IAU) at a meeting in Prague, Czech Republic.

BLACK EYED PEAS singer STACY ‘FERGIE’ FERGUSON has slammed rumours she’s planning a NEWLYWEDS-style reality show with actor boyfriend JOSH DUHAMEL.
The singer, who recently appeared in Hollywood blockbuster POSEIDON, met the movie star on the set of American TV show LAS VEGAS.
It has been rumoured they are due to follow in the footsteps of US pop princess JESSICA SIMPSON and her ex NICK LACHEY by appearing on a show about their relationship.

She says, "I had a bit of, as they say in Scotland, a peely-wally moment and fainted.
"It was just purely from low blood sugar levels. I was knackered. It was early morning TV. I had no idea what happened and I just found myself on the floor.
"I’ve just had four or five days off. I went to Dorset (England) and slept and went for walks in fields and cows and stuff."

Jack has taken part in a series of death-defying stunts as part of his series ADRENALINE JUNKIE.

Rapper ICE CUBE has vowed to shake-up the hip-hop industry after expressing outrage at its commercialism.
The star - real name O’SHEA JACKSON - fears the current US rap scene has forgotten its roots and lost direction.
He is so appalled that sex and ‘bling’ are favoured over social commentary in hip-hop tracks he’s heading a campaign to stamp out the corporate rot.
The former NWA star says, "All we’re hearing from America is booty music. If American rappers don’t step up their game, then I will.
"I’m planning on releasing three records in two years - each more politically charged.
"I’m going my own path to sway the tide. We’ve got to do whatever we can to put the music back in the hands of the people who love it."
