Rapper ICE CUBE’s mother ignores his profanity-packed music because she’s so relieved he avoided life as a gangster.
The hip-hop superstar admits tracks including F**K THA POLICE and GANGSTA GANGSTA don’t rank highly on the matriarch’s list of favourite tunes, but she is philosophical about his life choice.
He says, "She didn’t like the sound of the music, but she was happy for me to do anything but be a full-time member of Blood or Crip (gangs).
"I’d have been a Crip, because I grew up in a Crip neighbourhood."
