Oscar-winning actress ELLEN BURSTYN got her start in Hollywood after agreeing to let a kinky doctor take a photograph of her sexy bare bottom.
In her upcoming autobiography LESSONS IN BECOMING MYSELF, THE EXORCIST star reveals she reluctantly dropped her pants after a bum-loving medic offered to put her up in a hotel if he could capture her bottom on film.
She recalls, "He said, ‘I just want to see it and take a picture… I’m a fanny (backside) man… I felt embarrassed but I did it - I added my Polaroid fanny to his collection."

DAVID E KELLEY has signed CINDERELLA MAN’s CRAIG BIERKO and MARRIED WITH CHILDREN’s KATEY SAGAL for the new season of BOSTON LEGAL.
Bierko and Kelley previously worked together on the hit show ALLY McBEAL.
The actor will play JEFFREY COHO, an "intense, grandiose" criminal defence lawyer representing a client (ASHTON HOLMES) who is accused of murdering a judge.
Kelley says, "He’s so versatile. How many guys can play both (Cinderella Man’s) MAX BAER and THE MUSIC MAN?" Bierko was nominated for a Tony award in 2000 for his portrayal of PROFESSOR HAROLD HILL in the Broadway revival of the classic musical.
Katey Sagal, who most recently had a recurring role on LOST, will play the accused client’s mother in several episodes, which will be written by Kelley.

JULIANNE MOORE was left devastated when the sick puppy a New York pet store sold her died within weeks of becoming a family pet.
The actress’ pooch died of distemper - something Moore blames on conditions in the pet store she bought the puppy from.
A source says, "She called them (store) to complain after hearing others from her dog’s litter suffered the same fate." Moore has since purchased a Labrador mix called CHERRY from a recommended breeder.

The US ABC network is bringing British hit FOOTBALLERS’ WIVES to America.
The US version will take place in the world of professional US football, rather than soccer, but will retain much of the over-the-top spirit of the original.
Touchstone Television producer CHRIS BRANCATO says, "What we’ve been working on is taking the characters and giving them an American spin." He says many of the original storylines will be used in the US version and that the format will be adapted as an hour long primetime soap.
Footballers’ Wives launched on ITV in 2002, and focuses on three ordinary women whose lives are transformed by the celebrity and fortune that comes with marriage to soccer superstars.
Executive producer EILEEN GALLAGHER says the key to the success of the show was that it wasn’t really about sports.
She adds, "It’s as much about football as DALLAS was about oil. It’s about ultimate celebrity, about too much, too young… and women who are stuck with each other."

PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN star ORLANDO BLOOM had to undergo three separate operations to remove spines from his foot after stepping on a sea urchin while surfing in Mexico.
The star stepped on the prickly creature while he was filming TROY with BRAD PITT and immediately sought help from his girlfriend KATE BOSWORTH.
He explains, "I did a lot of surfing in Cabo (San Lucas) while I was shooting TROY.
"I was just surfing and the tide had gone down a bit. I wiped out on the board and I was sort of paddling my way up to the top and I put my foot down right on a rock and it was a sea urchin.
"I had like 25 of those things (spines) in my foot. My girlfriend peed on it.
Apparently you’re supposed to pee on it and it doesn’t do s**t… it doesn’t do anything, believe me.
"It’s kind of sexy in one sense (to have Bosworth pee on him), but it did absolutely nothing for my foot. I stepped on a sea urchin just so she could pee on my foot! It was all premeditated! "Apparently when anything from the ocean gets you - if it’s a stingray you pee on it, if it’s a sea urchin, you pee on them, if you see a shark you should just pee on it and it will leave you alone.
"I was in so much pain I can’t even tell you. There are nerve endings in the bottom of your foot. This was like 20 of them and they were deep. You try and pull them out and they just keep breaking off.
"They kind of crumble. I ended up stumbling around the place with this for like a week. I ended up flying back to LA and having surgery - they sliced me open three times to get them out.
"Then I had to go back because one was left in. Stay away from sea urchins, that’s basically the message!"

Hit musical THE LION KING is going back to its roots after landing a new home in Johannesburg, South Africa.
The African-themed show, which has smashed theatre records around the world, will open in Johannesburg next June (07).
The production will feature a local South African cast, many of whom have been in other productions of The Lion King around the world.
According to theatre website broadwayworld.com, The Lion King has employed almost 100 native South African actors in its productions worldwide.
A new venue, the Montecasino Theatre, is being built especially for the Disney production.
Disney Theatrical Productions president THOMAS SCHUMACHER says, "We have always dreamed of producing our show in South Africa. The music, the culture, and the spirit of the country are an integral part of The Lion King and opening this production brings us full circle."

ANNETTE BENING and CATE BLANCHETT will join director SOFIA COPPOLA and veteran actress SALLY FIELD as honorees at the 13th annual Premiere Women in Hollywood extravaganza.
THIRTEEN star EVAN RACHEL WOOD will receive the Chanel Spotlight Award given to an emerging artist.
The event will be held on 20 September (06) in Beverly Hills.

LATEST: SURVIVOR creator MARK BURNETT has blasted critics who don’t actually watch the show, insisting the new season of the reality competition "won’t be racial at all." Burnett claims dividing the four teams on SURVIVOR: COOK ISLANDS according to race eliminates any tension between the groups and thus avoids racism.
He explains, "By putting people in tribes, they clearly have to get rid of people of their own ethnicity. So that’s not racial at all." Burnett insists criticism of the show is the result of ignorance, adding, "People are saying things who’ve never seen Survivor… and don’t understand how it works." He hopes that "maybe the taboo (of race) could disappear" through the new concept and that the show, as in seasons past, will illuminate social dynamics.
Meanwhile, New York City community leaders held a rally on Tuesday (29AUG06) in front of CBS headquarters protesting the premise of the show.
Several New York council members and activists attended the protest and reveal they are in the process of drafting letters to Survivor sponsors.
The 13th season of the show premieres on 13 September (06).

SCRUBS star ZACH BRAFF has slammed the US tabloids for making him out to be the "male PARIS HILTON" and insists their stories are completely fabricated.
Recent reports had the star regularly club-hopping and allegedly hitting on JESSICA SIMPSON after breaking up with pop star MANDY MOORE.
Braff appeared on the LATE SHOW WITH DAVID LETTERMAN on Tuesday night (29AUG06) and immediately attempted to set the record straight. He said, "I’ve been learning a lot about myself from reading about all the stuff I’ve been up to, not based on any form of truth.
"I lead a pretty boring life - I sit at home, I’m on the Internet, I eat cereal - that’s a typical night for me.
"I read online about all the places I’ve been out partying and all the women I’ve been out partying with. I’m like, ‘Wow, I should probably go to that place. It sounds like a fun. It sounds like I had a good time there.’ I’m kind of jealous of the life I’m supposedly leading.
"Here’s how the whole thing works. I actually decided, ‘Maybe I’ll go out.
It’s the summertime, I’m off from SCRUBS.’ "So I go out a little bit and they write all about me being this crazy party guy, like I’m Paris Hilton or something. I’m like the male Paris Hilton. Rap mogul SEAN ‘DIDDY’ COMBS has proved he’s got the magic touch again - his new all-girl group DANITY KANE has stunned US music experts by beating OUTKAST to the top of the Billboard album charts.
The quintet, which came together through Combs’ reality TV show MAKING THE BAND 3, took its self-titled debut to number one with an impressive 234,000 sales in its opening week.
The album beat Outkast’s IDLEWILD soundtrack to the top. The funk duo’s fifth release debuted at number two with 196,000 sales.
Mexican rockers MANA scored a new chart record with their new album AMAR ES COMBATIR - debuting at number four with 87,000 copies sold. The release is the highest charting and biggest debut for a Spanish-language album from a duo or group.
Socialite PARIS HILTON also made an impressive debut at number six with her first album, PARIS.
With 77,000 sales in its first week, the album becomes the highest debut for a new solo female pop artist this year.
Rockers LAMB OF GOD also score a top 10 debut with SACRAMENT - the album bows at number eight with 63,000 sales.
And beloved crooner LUTHER VANDROSS is back in the top 10 a year after his death - hits album THE ULTIMATE LUTHER VANDROSS debuts at number nine, while hip-hop honey KELIS rounds out the top 10 with her new album, KELIS WAS HERE.

Pop star PINK has remade JOAN JETT’s I HATE MYSELF FOR LOVING YOU into the opening theme for US NBC’s SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL broadcasts.
The new song called WAITING ALL DAY FOR SUNDAY NIGHT will first air on 10 September (06) before the Indianapolis, Indiana Colts versus New York Giants game.
A special version of the song will be played during the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania versus Miami, Florida Dolphins match on 7 September (06).

Heavyweight rapper FAT JOE will use his performance at a post-MTV Video Music Awards party tomorrow night (31AUG06) to announce a new record deal with Virgin.
The New Yorker has signed a new deal with Virgin less than a month after ending a longtime relationship with Atlantic.
Fat Joe had previously announced he would release his next album, ME, MYSELF & I independently via his own Terror Squad label.

MARIAH CAREY is laughing off reports she flashed fans during a recent concert in Montreal, Canada, insisting it was an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction.
The singer was in the middle of a concert at the Centre Bell arena on 15 August (06) when eagle-eyed fans spotted one of her breasts pop out of her black gown, according to US tabloid the Globe.
But prim and proper Carey is pleased no one is making a big deal about the slip-up, which she quickly corrected offstage.

AMERICAN IDOL star TAYLOR HICKS has settled a lawsuit he filed against a Nashville, Tennessee producer over the rights to songs he recorded before finding fame.
Hicks has taken possession of the master recordings of the three songs that were illegally issued to Internet music warehouse iTunes for download use by WILLIAM SMITH.
Smith insisted he only made the recordings available to show fans just how good his former client was after his post-Idol single, DO I MAKE YOU PROUD, was savaged by critics.
In exchange for the master recordings, Hicks has agreed not to pursue further court action against the producer.

LATEST: Rocker DAVE NAVARRO has blasted veteran Hollywood columnist JANET CHARLTON for supposedly leaking the winner of his reality show ROCK STAR: SUPERNOVA on her website, insisting she "doesn’t have a clue as to what she’s talking about." Charlton claimed she had inside information on who would be named the new lead singer for the band Supernova, even though the show is live and the winner won’t officially be announced until the final episode of the show on 13 September (06).
The series follows the search for a vocalist to join the new band, formed by ex-MOTLEY CRUE drummer TOMMY LEE, former METALLICA bassist JASON NEWSTED and one-time GUNS N’ ROSES guitarist GILBEY CLARKE.
Navarro slammed Charlton on his website yesterday (29AUG06), saying he had no idea who she is and saying, "Damn, there are some funny rumours around regarding the show.
"First of all, I don’t know who Janet Charlton is… she doesn’t have a clue as to what she is talking about. If she had an inside source… Name it! Come on! I dare you! Name it! "Trust me… Nobody knows (the winner) until it’s over. In fact, if there is one thing I CAN share, it’s that Supernova has yet to be on the same page with each other in terms of favourites and they are waiting to see if their ideas line up in the coming weeks based on the remaining performances. Very diplomatic and democratic." Charlton claimed on her website that contestant LUKAS ROSSI has already been selected by band members because they thought he would be the "best fit."

BROOKS & DUNN star RONNIE DUNN has emerged as the leader of nominations for this year’s (06) Country Music Association Awards after netting seven nods during a televised announcement ceremony this morning (30AUG06).
The singer landed six nominations as a member of the country music duo and one as the writer of the group’s hit BELIEVE.
BRAD PAISLEY was also a big winner at the nomination ceremony in New York he landed mentions in six categories, including the coveted Entertainer of The Year, for which he’ll compete with RASCAL FLATTS, Brooks & Dunn, last year’s (05) winner KEITH URBAN and KENNY CHESNEY.
The nomination ceremony was extra special for Paisley as he joined SUGARLAND’s JENNIFER NETTLES to name the runners on US TV show GOOD MORNING AMERICA.
Chesney, newlywed Urban and former AMERICAN IDOL winner CARRIE UNDERWOOD each landed four nominations.
The 40th CMA Awards will be announced in Nashville, Tennessee on 6 November (06).

Former BLINK-182 members TRAVIS BARKER and MARK HOPPUS have formed a new band and will release their debut album in November (06).
Blink-182 announced last year (05) that they were going on an "indefinite hiatus".
Now Barker and Hoppus are concentrating on new band +44, named for the international dialling code to the UK and pronounced "plus 44".
Barker said in a statement yesterday (29AUG06), "Mark and I have a natural chemistry after playing together for so long and it’s only gotten stronger." The group will release its debut album WHEN YOUR HEART STOPS BEATING through Interscope Records on 14 November (06).
The other member of the original Southern California punk-rock trio, singer-guitarist TOM DeLONGE, has already found success with his new band ANGELS AND AIRWAVES.
Barker and Hoppus will be joined in +44 by guitarists SHANE GALLAGHER and CRAIG FAIRBAUGH.
The band will make their debut performance next month (SEP06) in Europe and will hit the road in the US in October (06).
