BRITNEY SPEARS’ husband KEVIN FEDERLINE is making his acting debut as a thug on TV show CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION.
The 28-year-old dancer, whose first album PLAYING WITH FIRE is set to be released in October (06), began shooting the role last week (24AUG06). It is due to be shown on TV later this year (06).
Federline says, "This is pretty much my first time acting. It’s the first time I’ve actually had a speaking role.
"I was doing stuff for the Teen Choice Awards and got the call while we were rehearsing and I p**sed in my pants! I was excited right off the bat. It’s the only show that I really, really watch." Federline will play an arrogant teen in the episode, who harasses investigators NICK STOKES (GEORGE EADS) and WARRICK BROWN (GARY DOURDAN) on a job.
He has previously starred with wife Spears in their own reality show, BRITNEY & KEVIN: CHAOTIC, which aired in 2005.

LATEST: Former BOND girl BARBARA BACH is recovering in a British hospital after undergoing surgery on her broken leg late yesterday (27AUG06).
The SPY WHO LOVED ME beauty, who is married to former BEATLE RINGO STARR, was rushed to the Royal Surrey Hospital after a horse kicked her.
A spokesman for the actress says: "She had a stable and peaceful night and everything is going well with her recovery.
"Her condition will be assessed today but I don’t think she will be discharged."

But despite the rampant rumours, Wilson insists there is no romance in his life.
He says, "I’m single despite what people say.

Rapper SEAN PAUL is keen to star in a Hollywood movie - but only if he can play a revered musician.
The LIKE GLUE hitmaker insists he is a musician first, but admits he would like to try other projects.
He tells MTV, "I don’t have a strong desire to really do movies unless it would match my part.
"So maybe if somebody wrote a movie about the best artist in the world.
Maybe."

Canadian opera sensation LEOPOLD SIMONEAU has died peacefully at his home in Victoria, British Columbia. He was 90.
The tenor passed away on Thursday night (24AUG06), 36 years since his final public performance singing HANDEL’s MESSIAH with the Montreal Symphony.
During his career Simoneau garnered a reputation for his technical control and was made a companion of the Order of Canada - one of Canada’s highest honours - in 1995.
Pacific Opera Victoria artistic director TIMOTHY VERNON says, "He worked with all the great conductors of an earlier generation. He was without doubt one of the most accomplished singers we have ever produced." Simoneau is survived by his wife, soprano PIERRETTE ALARIE.

EMINEM has apologised to one of HUGH HEFNER’s fulltime girlfriends after they fell out over a badly received prank.
The rapper borrowed KENDRA WILKERSON to play his love interest in a new music video for SMACK THAT ASS but was accused of acting "disrespectfully" when a joke went wrong.
Wilkerson’s agent JONATHAN BARAM tells Page Six, "Eminem came out of his trailer and threw water on her and was really disrespectful.
"He flipped out on her. She’s a tough girl. She didn’t take it, and they went at it - not physically but verbally.
"Now that I think about it, he was probably just playing a joke. I don’t want there to be any controversy between me and Eminem." Eminem is since reported to have made amends by sending a blooming bouquet to the Playboy mansion.

Israeli-born rocker GENE SIMMONS has hailed a soldier wounded in the Middle East conflict his "hero".
RON WEINREICH, an Israeli soldier and die-hard fan of Simmons’ band KISS, was seriously wounded in Israel’s 34-day battle with Hezbollah guerrillas in Lebanon earlier this month (AUG06).
Via a video message to the victim’s hospital bed this weekend (26-27AUG06), Simmons praised Weinreich’s efforts, which have left him paralysed from the chest down.
He said, "I can’t tell you how proud I am of you, and how much the world and Israel owes you a debt of gratitude.
"From the bottom of my heart, you are a real hero, you are everybody’s hero, you are my hero and I wish I could be there with you." Simmons, who born CHAIM WITZ in the northern Israeli city of Haifa before emigrating to New York as a child, also showed off his impressive grasp of Hebrew, adding in the language, "My name is Chaim, I was born in Haifa."

Freshly released rapper LIL’ KIM is facing further court time to defend a Jamaican reggae singer’s claims she copied her lyrics for her last album.
TANYA STEPHENS is suing the hip-hop star - who left prison last month (JUL06) after serving 10 months of a 366-day sentence for perjury - for ripping off a song for 2005 release THE NAKED TRUTH.
Stephens alleges lyrics of Kim’s track DURTY almost exactly match her song MI AND MI GOD, recorded in Jamaica and released in 1997. According to the suit, filed in Manhattan federal court last week (ends25AUG06), Kim even adopts a West Indian accent for it.
Stephens is claiming rights to the song, as well as all past and future royalties, reports the New York Post.
In the past Lil’ Kim, real name KIMBERLY JONES, has made no secret of her admiration for Stephens’ work, even flying her to New York to sing on one of her albums. Her vocals never made the final version of the record.

THE BLACK CROWES keyboardist EDDIE HARSCH has left the band citing "personal issues".
The WISER TIME star, who at 49 is the oldest member of the CHRIS ROBINSON-fronted band, has played with The Black Crowes since 1991.
Harsch is to be replaced by ROB CLORES.
A statement from the band reads: "We want to inform our fans that Ed Harsch will no longer be performing with The Black Crowes due to personal issues. We are excited to announce Rob Clores as keyboardist and look forward to the fall leg." However, in a posting on his MySpace.com page Clores says Harsch was forced to leave the band due to "his health situation".
He writes: "The Black Crowes have always been one of my favourite bands and one of the few I have always wanted to play with, though I never thought I would get the chance.
"But my opportunity comes as the result of Ed’s unfortunate circumstance. I have never met Ed, but I have the utmost respect and admiration for him - and I am truly saddened by his health situation. If the band could have its way Ed would still be there.
"Lets send positive vibes his way and in the meantime I will do my best to uphold the keyboard chair in this great band."

FOXY BROWN is being sued by the owner of a New York City boutique over allegations she stole two belts worth $400 (£220) on Thursday (24AUG06).
According to reports in the New York Post, the HOT SPOT rapper arrived at Limpasse to collect some lingerie, but was furious when she discovered the alterations she requested had not been completed.
Brown then went on to haggle over the price of a gold rhinestone belt, before allegedly putting it and one other in her bag without paying.
The rapper is already in trouble with the courts. On Wednesday (23AUG06) she failed to attend Jersey Municipal court to answer charges filed by her former assistant, RASHEEDA ELLIS, and today (28AUG06) she will stand trial for allegedly assaulting staff in a nail salon last August (05).

Hollywood superstar GWYNETH PALTROW reportedly became so addicted to British reality TV show BIG BROTHER, she had every episode taped.
The EMMA star, who is married to COLDPLAY rocker CHRIS MARTIN, loves to unwind in front of the television after a full day of running around after young children APPLE and MOSES.
A friend told the Daily Express: “Gwyneth is not normally one for reality TV but she started watching Big Brother to unwind from her day with her small kids.
“She watched whenever she could and really got into it. The final couple of weeks she watched almost every night and had what she couldn’t see taped.
“She says she’s really going to miss it but Chris is very happy - he hates reality TV with a vengeance.”

British actress BARBARA WINDSOR almost ended her relationship with her young husband SCOTT MITCHELL after falling ill in 2002, because she was terrified of him seeing her as an "old woman".
The 69-year-old star, famed for her performances in the cult British comedy movies CARRY ON and latterly in UK soap opera EASTENDERS, was diagnosed with Epstein-Barr syndrome, which left her barely able to move.
But despite her fears, Mitchell was determined to nurse her back to health.
She says, "I’d always thought of myself as 20 years younger than my real age.
Then suddenly I became this very old woman.
"I couldn’t walk, I couldn’t do anything. Scott had to wash me.
"I was so frightened he might leave, I told him to go. I pushed him away.
"I just wanted to wallow in self-pity."

British director MIKE LEIGH has defended his decision to award his son LEO’s movie the Best Newcomer Award at the Sarajevo Film Festival in 2004, insisting he is no nepotist.
The SECRETS AND LIES director was asked to award an "anarchic" film at the Bosnia and Herzegovina event, and he couldn’t help but honour THE PLAGUE, which was filmed by his son, now 25.
And although he has subsequently been criticised for failing to mention his family connection when he chose to honour the work, he is adamant their link has nothing to do with the film’s success.
He says, "My duty was to give an anarchic film a prize and The Plague so obviously fits the bill.
"I don’t go around making a fuss about my son because then people really would accuse me of nepotism.
"If it was a lousy film I would want nothing to do with it. But it isn’t and I’m obviously very proud of Leo."

INDIANA JONES writer GEORGE LUCAS intended the adventurous archeologist to be portrayed as a JAMES BOND-style womaniser but was overruled by director STEVEN SPIELBERG and actor HARRISON FORD.
Lucas, who also created the STAR WARS series, had dreams of the intrepid explorer putting Casanova to shame, and was disappointed when Spielberg and Ford thwarted his plans.
He says, "In my version he was an international playboy like James Bond. A guy who went to casinos and nightclubs and had a lot of girlfriends.
"Steven and Harrison didn’t like it."

British actors TIMOTHY WEST and BILL NIGHY are joining forces to save the Berkshire, England, theatre where their stage careers began.
EVER AFTER star West and LOVE ACTUALLY actor Nighy are leading the campaign to raise $1.8 million (£1 million) to prevent The Watermill theatre in Bagnor from closing down.
Nighy, who first appeared in a production of TENNESSEE WILLIAMS’ THE MILK TRAIN DOESN’T STOP HERE ANYMORE at The Watermill, says, "I urge everyone to support the appeal."

Swiss director ANDREA STAKA is celebrating after her latest movie DAS FRAULEIN won the best film award at the Sarajevo Film Festival in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The movie centres on the lives of three women exiled to Swiss capital Zurich after the collapse or European country Yugoslavia. Lead star MARIJA SKARICIC clinched the best actress award.
The Sarajevo Film Festival started 12 years ago when the city was under siege from Bosnian Serb forces and is now recognised as a major event by the film industry.
The best actor accolade went to RAKAN RUSHAIDAT, for his role in ALL FOR FREE.

DOCTOR WHO star DAVID TENNANT has been banned from attending fan conventions by the BBC, because TV bosses fear the star may blurt out upcoming storylines to eager fans.
The English actor is under contract to stay away from the sci-fi events, even though former Doctors TOM BAKER and COLIN BAKER were allowed to meet their admirers in the past.
He says, "It’s just a precaution so that no storyline details are blurted out accidentally.
"David’s sorry for the show’s followers but understands the reason."

Master tapes of the new BBC series ROBIN HOOD have been stolen from studios in Hungary - with thieves demanding a $1.8 million (£1 million) ransom for the safe return of the reels.
The British broadcaster has been filming the 13-part drama in Hungary over the summer, which is set to begin broadcasting in October (06).
British newspapers reported today (28AUG06) a Hungarian extra from the show is believed to be the culprit.
TV bosses are now deciding whether to pay the ransom or re-shoot the whole series, which would mean calling the stars, JONAS ARMSTRONG (ROBIN) and KEITH ALLEN (SHERIFF OF NOTTINGHAM), back to the Eastern European country.
Production company Tiger Aspect and the BBC have released a joint statement, saying, "Tiger Aspect has been the victim of a break-in in Hungary where Robin Hood is currently being filmed and some high-definition tapes and other equipment have been stolen.
"The thefts are causing inconvenience and have resulted in a delay in finalising some of the episodes. Tiger Aspect is taking all reasonable steps to recover the tapes."
