JACKSON ACCUSES ROWE OF BREAKING CONTRACT

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 6:39 pm

LATEST: MICHAEL JACKSON has hit back at ex-wife DEBBIE ROWE’s demands for money, insisting the former nurse has already been paid all she is entitled to.
Former dermatologist’s nurse Rowe filed suit against the THRILLER hitmaker last month (JUL06), seeking $245,000 (£136,000) from Jackson, who she claims has failed to honour their 1999 divorce agreement.
When the couple ended their nearly three-year marriage, Rowe relinquished custody of their two children, PRINCE MICHAEL, nine, and PARIS MICHAEL, eight.
However, following Jackson’s 2004 arrest and subsequent trial on child molestation charges, Rowe called for a judge to reinstate her parental rights.
Under their divorce settlement, Jackson agreed to pay Rowe $1 million (£550,000) per year for the first three years, and then $750,000 (£417,000) for the following six years. She also took possession of a house in Beverly Hills, California.
Rowe is asking Jackson to pay her legal fees, as well as seeking custody of their children.
Jackson filed a response in Los Angeles Superior Court on Tuesday (22AUG06), declaring he has already paid her legal fees and the millions of dollars in their divorce settlement. The singer also accuses Rowe of breaking a nondisclosure case in the settlement, according to the New York Post newspaper.
Los Angeles Judge ROBERT SCHNIDER will hear the case on 5 September (06).
